11:11 is there a sign on your cubicle wall reading "You don't have to be anti-semitic to criticize the state of Israel... but it helps!"?

How would full out privatization be worse at this point? Maybe not for Health Care or Education, but most of our tax money goes to private corporations already.

They own your water and don't have to answer to public councils about the quality of it. They sell you poison like aspartame and tobacco with all the power of full-media coverage, with little public-concern input that is heard. On their privately owned media complexes (ummm, three at this point, for real?) they tell you that your sons will either go to work for a private-war firm like blackwater, or they will go to jail for debt to the all-powerful company, that owns your town.

We have seen where unregulated business goes. It is not democratic, it is fascist. We have seen where unregulated government goes, it is not communistic, it is fascist.

Checks and Balances baby - real democracy is key.

Name one instance when a national election for federal office has changed anything for the good. I cannot think of one. FDR? Criminal. Kennedy? MAYBE, but he wasnt what many believe he was, his family was deeply involved in a lot of corrupt shit too, they just happend to give a lot back to their community and had enough decency to look out for those in need. No less criminals though.

Lets say EVERYONE showed up to vote, every single person. You would STILL have either a republican or a democrat elected, NO CHANGE takes place. Lets say everyone DIDNT SHOW up to vote, nobody shows up on election day, constiutional crisis ensues which creates the type of dialogue that is needed to get this nation out of the shit hole it is stuck in. The ONLY path to change is TOTAL REJECTION of their corrupt political process en mass. There is no other way at this point. Period. Reject it or continue showing your support to the criminals by casting a vote every 2 years, a vote that clearly says "I AM OK WITH THE FACT THAT THIS SYSTEM IS CORRUPT AND I AM HERE TO SHOW MY SUPPORT BY CASTING A VOTE IN FAVOR OF IT."

This is why people either don't care or advocate violence. The system seems not to work.

I voted for Nader in '04 and Dem's almost spit on me when I say so, but the Democratic Party has a different PR image from the Repug party - that is it. Any difference in party platform is cosmetic.

I did not put Bush in office a second time - I refused to put Kerry in office. Now all we have is Hillary and Obama? This is shit and every truthful person knows it.

Exactly, Kult...

Say no to voting in 08. Get everyone else to say no and we will have change. Go and vote for Ron Paul or Dennis Kucinich or whomever it is you like, and there will be no change, you will feel good and smug and look down on those of us to do not participate, you will call us apathetic perhaps, but keep in mind that apathy is simply not caring enough to even bother, some of us care so much that we refuse to show our support for a process that we KNOW, for certain, is leading to the destruction of the country we love so very much. That is not apathy, that is called a CONSCIENCE.

Now I do realize EVERYONE NOT VOTING is a very idealist position and it is very unlikely to happen, but it is the only way that we can bring about real change at this point, and therefore it is important that those of us who understand this, teach others. Hopefully future generations will take note.

On another note, privatization is indeed fascism, it is textbook fascism. When the corporations replace the state it is fascism. The current crop of criminals in Washington, on BOTH sides of the aisle, love privatization. What privatization does is eliminates all over-site. Instead of checks and balances and over-site by representitives of the people, you have a board of directors who are not obligated in any way to tell us anything, and do not have to answer to anyone, running everything. Oh yes, they drool over this and that is exactly where we are headed as a nation. Every vote you cast, no matter who it is for, is a vote in favor of the system that is leading us to that pit of fire.

I also get well water. I'm not afraid of the fluoride in city water, I just dislike the chlorine taste. Not that I could get city water in the boonies anyway. What I am afraid of is arsenic and pesticides from my well. At least I won't be infested.

He should go to burning man )'(.

And he should vote anyway just for fun. Also Ron Paul will be for the REPUBS like Nader was to the DEMS. AND THAT COULD GIVE US A REST FROM THE WAR CROWD! (for a tiny while at least.)

Me either.

If we had elected Al Gore in 2000 (by more than a few votes, anyway), we would not be in Iraq right now. Yes, Gore is corporate too but he would never have done anything so brutal and idiotic. Never.

That's a very clear and obvious example of why voting matters. I am skeptical of the post-2000 electronic voting machines, but I'm still going to vote. It's free and it's sure as heck not going to hurt me to do it.

PS It is absolutely luxurious not to be the only one here standing up to the "Zionist" ranters. I was getting worried there for a while.

Also...could someone please see if Ron Jeremy or Jenna Jameson has an opinion on Dennis Kucinich? Whatever they have to say will definitely sway my vote, one way or the other.

Gore would have never been elected because 9-11 and the Iraq oil invasion had to happen, so it doesnt matter if he would or would not have invaded iraq, those things had to happen and the system was set up to ensure they would happen and your vote, even FOR GORE was a vote IN FAVOR of the system that caused this all to happen!

But by all means, keep voting, keep doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. I mean why not? Fuck it.

You do have a point but it is fun to go and see if they have taken you off the list and labeled you as dead, or out of the area. I'm not really saying that it does much but I think it does a little tiny something.
