Floyd, I have to commend you. You give some great advice on here, exercise great patience, and always seem to be able to inject humor in your posts. That you can laugh and make light is commendable. I sure hope to get my sense of humor back soon.

Question...Being that you've been wise to most of this since 95, and reading your recount of listening to the 97 interview with the ex illuminati guy, did you feel as much a sense of urgency back then to encourage friends and family to put down the Budweiser, turn the TV off, and start paying attention ? Upon your first good dose of reality, do you feel that the degree of urgency was the same back then as it is now? I've been wondering this all week and figured this was the board to ask.

I only ask because I have found myself feeling this way. I have be honest and admit I only broke out of the matrix rather recently compared to many of you. It is very likely that if it wasn't for my being ill and having two surgeries in recent years, I might still be pretty clueless via mainstream "alternative" gatekeepers.(*Goodman, Air America, NPR) Like so many others, it was 9-11 that did it for me.

What is amazing to me though, is that I am still tumbling down this rabbit hole. I think in this ADD age, we've been programmed to think we should have it all figured out after a few sound bites. To still be tumbling after vociferously ingesting information nonstop for two years, has been quite a shock to my system. This hole is damn DEEP.

In any case, I was reading an older blog post of Jeff's, and came across this part that reminded me of some of you patient veterans on the board that have cut us young 'un's some slack.

"We need to be humble enough to sometimes back up the way we came, saying "I wouldn't go down there if I were you" to people we pass on the way, rather than bash our heads stubbornly against dead ends, shouting "After me!" There is, after all, a synchronicity to ordinary events, so we should admit that it is present in extraordinary events as well."

Very wise words that make me wish I would've noticed this sooner. It's such a shock upon first learning some of this stuff that it's difficult to heed that warning at first. I still have a hard time. I felt that everyone should know and know now. Or at least friends and family...

Realize, thumper, when you're on this site, there are many here who know wayyy more than you or I, and still others who seem content to keep it that way. I think the trick is to resign yourself to believing that you really don't know anything for sure and go from there. Simply bring the material to the board and present it for discussion honestly and sincerely. That seems to be what you've done, anyhow, until the knives came out.

Anyone who is too dismissive, dissuassive, or illogically stubborn, about any particular viewpoint you raise, should set off warning bells and whistles for you. Don't let yourself waste too much time and energy chasing that red herring as they are very prevalent on any popular forum these days. Some make a living and/or seem to get a kick out of wasting your time and playing mind games to infuriate and discourage you.

Of course this is just my opinion taken from my own experiences. I recognize thumpers zeal and realize his intentions are most likely very pure. But Ive come to the realization, in spite of all the fear mongering propaganda that would have us believe otherwise, the internet is still the wild frontier. Expect lots of glowing eyes in the dark and wolves in sheeps clothing when you delve into these subjects that take you deep in the woods. I still am amazed that simple intellectual curiousity can warrant this attention from the blackop bunch. Seems so pointless and sadistic.

Sorry for the long ramble. I just felt I should write this as I've been guilty of being baited on this board as well. This documentary, although rehashing, is probably the best video to give someone who is still in the dark. A good vid to give friends and/or family. YOu can DL both parts off the torrent board of conspiracycentral.net It is very well made and entertaining.

I want to thank you though Floyd, and the others on this board, who exercise patience with us rookies in our quest for the truth. The point was too thank you and I got carried away. One thing is clear though, we should all be on the same team at this point.

We all know fundamentalist Christian end-time believers are an important part of the GOP and Bush administration's electoral base. In fact, they're probably their most die-hard supporters, even as more "centrist" conservatives are starting to have second thoughts.

But there clearly is a different fundamentalist milieu which tends to see the Bush administration (just as they'd see any administration, I'm sure) as a Luciferian ministry of the anti-Christ or some such.

From a more "liberal", secular, post-Enlightenment point of view (which is my own), both of these factions appear equally kooky. To me, they seem to have been closely aligned during the Clinton years, when they were united over common fears of black helicopters, blue helmets, the IRS, the gay agenda, etc. I wasn't really aware of this schism until fairly recently.

It's America's Calvinist roots that resurface in those beliefs... the idea that all secular leaders and elites literally worship and serve Satan is particular to the strain of Puritan Protestantism that emerged in Switzerland and travelled via France and the Netherlands to the British Isles and eventually the New World, where it found a haven from counter-reformationist persecutions as well as from the piercing light of rationalism.

As a phenomenon it's interesting, but I'll go elsewhere for reliable information about what's going on in the world.

As Shakespeare would say, 'The lady doth protest too much'. The hostile reactions and deliberate Red Herrings really do betray a sense of insecurity and/or troll-like behavior. An overused straw man indeed, that proclaims the machinations of the elite are completely unknowable so we shouldn't listen to anyone that has anything to say about them and any such testimony should be automatically rendered as false. Frankly I'd love to see an examination of occult power symbologies and networks that's more in line with my personal socio-political beliefs. Outside of RI and the late VoxFux I haven't found much.

Just a question for those who think this Illuminati stuff is 100% hogwash,
what are some of your explanations for the rituals and symbology that
the powered elite seem so drawn to?

Love of classical mythology? I find it interesting that cultures separated by time and geography, as far flung as the Vikings to the ancient Egyptians to the Chinese to the Hindus and even the Aztecs have similar occultic symbolism, like the infinity snake among many others. Interestingly, in Satanism the symbol represents the god of Leviathan.

What accounts for this occultic commonality? Obviously they were tapping into a spiritual realm.

Sawed-off logic

Postby rothbardian » Sun Mar 05, 2006 5:31 pm

Qutb and a few other are conveniently overstating about the 'secrecy' issue. If they applied their arguments consistently, by all rights they should be able to know nothing about the 9/11 conspiracy. The PTB have not required 100% secrecy...only that the vast majority of sheeple remain unaware.

Some of you keep gleefully restating this argument "how can you know this, if it's a secret?" That's really sawed off logic. How, for example, do 99.9% of the population not know that Laura Bush killed her boyfriend in high school? It has nothing to do with being a carefully crafted secret--- the PTB stay under the radar by simply nudging certain things out of the media mainstream, and that literally covers 99% of us.
