Dugoboy, can you explain a little bit about Wilber's fascist ideology?*

Thanks.**

*Note: This is an attempt to ask an honest question, not to debunk, berate, bully, or otherwise threaten or intimidate dugoboy.

**A sincere thank-you, not a concealed, smirking jibe.

Ken Wilber

Since I assume that dugoboy is the same dugoboy from the Pop Occulture blog, I'll just post what he and some of the people over there have had to say about Wilber, as I agree with his and their assessment.

ken wilber

good find johnny, lol, i was just about to go find that comment. yes it is mine.

professorpan: yea i went through this solid 5 month binge into ken wilbur's world (from like january '05 to may or june '05). i used to think i was a buddhist/christian gnostic (not agnostic). but when you go down the rabbit hole to the end you realize what ken wilbur is promoting is kind of an infantile nationalism socialism (NaZi) world understanding.

heres a cleaned up version of what i said at the pop occulture blog.

ken wilber's integralism is just the kind of secular religion the NWO would be looking for. basically wilber's current philosophical phase or as he calls it 'Wilber 5' started back when he discovered spiral dynamics by don beck in 2000. now spiral dynamics uses the theory of memetics but with a twist, as don beck sells himself and his book to corporations as the perfect solution for employee conflict in business, ie social control.

so what i mean to say is with ken wilber's ever evolving god conscious 'god will become us', or rather that we humans, conscious beings are god to a degree/will become god AND you toss in spiral dynamics (a crafty tool to identify people's mental landscapes and how they act from them - memes) you get an excellent means of social control through meme exploitation with the added spiritual delusion that is ken wilber's perpetuative ability ie. his 'philosophy' (a mental virus of its own).

a side note: ken wilber likes to say that Tony Blair is the most integral leader there is today. while Don Beck told once that George Bush is such a nice guy who was 'chosen by the spiral' whatever that means.

notice how ken aspires for his baby called integralism to become the ruling system of thought of the world. ken's philosophy is essentially nihilism cloaked in buddhist terminology. when you read his work you almost get the sense he hates this material world, that this plane of lower consciousness is so loath to be in existence with, that its almost preferable to be one with ultimate reality or conversely known as being DEAD!

see his work is very freindly looking on the outside. its kind of trendy too as it follows buddhism and trans-consciousness evolution. his whole thing is about east meets west, a kind of melding of both hemispheres of the human brain kind of thing, which maybe all fine and dandy BUT where he tells you truth, he lays you out a framework with which you are to intellectually order your life, meaning he tells you certain points of truth and he then tells you what road to go down once he's 'enlightened you'. look up integral politics.

i know i wouldnt be at this site had i not taken the truth wilbur does relay. but thanks to a very good friend, who saved me really, i'm not some zombie now.

just so you know ken wilbur is one of the philosophers who speaks on the Ultimate Matrix Box Set philosophers commentary of each matrix movie, along with Cornel West.

my sources tell me the wachowskis had little choice on the matter of ken speaking.

i'll go even further and say my sources tell me he was hired by the PTB to create integralism, the modern day theosophy. so that it along with other secularish type religions like scientology or b'nai faith can take hold in order to remove christianity as the dominant religion, to ones that embrace a more globalist perspective, kind of reminds you of evangelism.
___________________________________________
"BUSHCO aren't incompetent...they are COMPLICIT."
Edited by: dugoboy at: 5/17/06 3:13 pm

Interesting. Thanks for the explanation.

I still find Wilber's ideas to be stimulating and useful. I don't see the fascist overtones/undertones, but I've never felt compelled to adopt his ideas as absolute truth. I guess someone taking up his philosophy as dogma could twist it into a dangerous direction.

I'm suspicious of any kind of groupthink cultists

People have been stealing from Buddhism/Taoism and other Eastern philosophy for almost 100 years and adding their own little quirks to it.

Be it The Theosophical society's pedophilic Charles Leadbeater and his failed attempts to make a seriously flawed individual (Krishnamurti) into some Buddhist Messiah , Ken Wilber or Scientologists....I don't trust anything that attempts to "mirror" or "enhance" Buddhism or Taoism.

True Buddhism and Taoism says to look within, not follow someone else's dogma.
