weird! took the quiz. scored 13/14, and I have no idea whether that's good or bad.

You know what's a dead giveaway -- Coulter usually says "liberals" and Hitler says "the liberals."

right. didn't catch that.

what i did notice though is that hitler's sentences were a lot more "intellectual." a higher grade of rhetoric. don't know what that says about coulter, or the US.

on edit: what i mean to say is that hitler's clearly "speechifying" whereas coulter sounds like she's barely hanging on her barstool.

Edited by: jc at: 6/26/06 8:09 pm

did everyone miss the same one maybe?

"These scum manufacture more than three quarters of the so-called 'public opinion,'...To give an accurate description of this process and depict it in all its falsehood and improbability, one would have to write volumes."

I almost missed that one. I went back and forth on it, but guessed right. This is the one I missed.

Quote:
The immediate consequence of the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia was a wholesale abandonment of morals. Laws against divorce were loosened, promiscuity was encouraged, and marriage was demeaned as a "bourgeois institution." Providing a battle cry for the sexual anarchists, Vladimir Lenin had famously said that the act of sex should "be as simple and unimportant as drinking a glass of water." American liberals have used their hegemonic control of...newspapers to create a charming world in which women apparently cannot bear to keep their shirts on."

I thought that this was probably Hitler, but it's Coulter. Talking about Lenin and the Bolsheviks I thought was more likely him, and the reference to American liberals sounded like someone in Europe talking. The sentence is just awkward enough that I thought it was a translation from German.

I got the 'scum' quote correct -- I thought it was just a LITTLE too over-the-top for the context -- one of 7 out of 14 I got right. (Bah!) I guess Coulter sure has me bamboozled. Frankly, she makes me ill.

SOME of her quotes are REALLY vile, grossly malicious distortions if not outright off-the-wall fabrications. She demonstrates the technique of manufacturing the 'facts' to prove the premise.

BTW:
Great 'Is Everything You Know Wrong?' disinfo quiz; Some real surprises there.
