swastika design in aerial view of US naval base CA

Well, this is no surprise given what I know about operation Paperclip. But I am sickened nontheless.
www.thepowerhour.com/pres...ress19.htm
NEWS RELEASE

NAZI SWASTIKA COMPLEX AT CORONADO NAVAL BASE SENDS THE WORLD A MESSAGE!

These photographs, now being seen worldwide, are raising very serious questions as to the intent and meaning of this message. Given the political climate in the US, some may see the construction of a four story Swastika as an act of “Hate Speech”.

The Power Hour has sent certified letters to the Commanding Officer of the base, Secretary of the Navy, Secretary of Defense and numerous International Jewish organizations requesting a response and explanation as to how this horrifying reminder of murder and genocide can be tolerated

Two years ago I was told by a Navy Seal I spoke with it's an Officer's training facility. He seemed pretty surprised and embarassed when I brought the place up.
____________________
Oderint, dum metuant

I've seen clothes racks (!) in the shape of swastikas. It's a pretty damn efficient shape for that purpose, when you think about it.

Until you show me that someone designed this building intentionally to honor the Nazis or something, I'm calling BS.

But it seems to me that the architect wasn't really up to snuff with his occult and/or Nazi symbolism: he forgot the center of the "swastika":

maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&...2&t=h&om=1

Oops!

That said, I'm well aware of the relevance of Nazis to the US intelligence services, but I think it's charmingly naive to want to see the "secret signs" of this connection just about everywhere.

Of course, this comes from the site of Dave vonKleist, who sees missile pods on planes where there were none, and no plane at the Pentagon where there most definitely was one.

The list of American military pilots trained at North Island reads like the Who's Who of aviation; however, America was not the only country interested in aviation early in the twentieth century. Six years before the Naval Air Station was commissioned, Glenn Curtiss, the famed aviation pioneer and later aircraft manufacturer, trained the first group of Japanese aviators at his flying school on the Island. Among them was a LT C. Yamada would later become infamous as the head of Japan's Naval aviation in World War II.

www.nasni.navy.mil/history.htm

Quote:
During the Second World War, the land between North and South Coronado, called the Spanish Bight, was filled a part of the base where most of the administrative and recreational buildings now stand. When approaching Flag Circle from the front gate, the last tiled roof building on the left was the original gate guard building as evidenced by the Army Air Corps insignia, a pair of flight wings bisected by a single blade propeller, carved in the window shutters. During World War II North Island was the major continental U.S. base supporting the operating forces in the Pacific. Those forces included over a dozen aircraft carriers, the Coast Guard, Army, Marines and Seabees. The city of Coronado became home to most of the aircraft factory workers and dependents of the mammoth base which was operating around the clock. Major USO entertainment shows and bond drives were held weekly at the Ship's Service auditorium which was later replaced by the 2,100 seat Lowry Theater. Big band singers and movie stars were stationed here or on ships home ported here during the war years including Douglas Fairbanks Jr. Future television cowboy star of the 50s and 60s, Guy Madison, who starred as Wild Bill Hickok, was still Seaman Bob Mosely, a lifeguard at the NAS crews' pool. Stars like the Marx Bros and Bob Hope appeared regularly at USO shows at the auditorium.

I used a swastika base when I built a coat rack years ago because it's a simple design for stability.... as the base of a vertical structure. That building did come up on other forums. If I remember correctly (and I often don't) then it was built in 1919. Before the Nazi Party got going.

It seems that every culture or at cultures on every continent recognise the swastika. Many use it symbollically to refer to Dan Tien point below the naval, also referred to as the Hara point and a whole lot of other names, basically the point below the navel where your chi reserves sit.

It is used by among others Falun Gung. Their leader has had photos taken in robes with embroidered swastikas.

It also appears in Indigenous art in Australia, and there is that guy WOman I think is his name.

He has his body covered in (non Nazi) swastika's and is on a mission to redeem the swastika, his best one is a giant one on his back made out of Doves of Peace.

Saw him on telly once. He also dresses up like death and wanders around the street saying hi to people, then "I'll see you again" as they walk away.

Mind you I saw that TV show about 10 years ago. He would probably get locked up for that in the US today.

Postby smithtalk » Mon Jul 17, 2006 10:33 pm

if you really want stability the simplest design is a tripod,
always stable on the most uneven terrain,

and c'mon, an architect sat and looked at that for a long time, and so did a lot of other people,
its a swastika, no further arguement is needed
