So this guy comes in the tatoo shop this afternoon and wants to get a swastika covered up on his arm. He had half the money he needed for what he wanted, but I decided to do it anyways, because for me, anyone trying to break free from that kind of idealogy deserves any assistance that I can provide. That didn't stop me from messing with him a little, of course..I told him that I would recieve a great deal of satisfaction in covering his tattoo up due to the fact that I had 27 family relatives die in the Nazi camps. He looked at me sharply and asked me if I was going to gouge him on purpose and I just laughed and told him not to worry about it.

So we're sitting there doing the work, and talking about ourselves and all the rest of the crap. He went to prison and like so many others was drawn into the white brotherhood thing out of neccessity for protection/support, etc. He told me how messed up he was for years after getting out and having to live with the hate-shit they tried to infect him with, which he has finally overcome to his advantage. All in all, a pretty smart and experienced guy who came back from mistakes he'd made and sought to leave the nasty shit behind him.

He was VERY happy with what he recieved from me(a silhouette of the Marines symbol), and couldn't thank me enough. As I was bandaging him up, he started fiddling with a necklace he was wearing, finally removed something from it and handed it to me saying thanks again as he left.

This is what he gave me:

All in all, an even trade that I'm completely satisfied with.

____________________
Some are born to sweet delight, some are born to endless night.
