Dennis Lee was a free-energy guy -- in my mind, almost certainly a huckster (from engineering considerations of the designs as described in passing in the narrative) -- who got slammed and prosecuted for fraud pretty hard. <br><br>His accountant in general has had an interesting life, and in his discursive style he touches on all kinds of interesting things:<br>i) how accounting fraud at major firms is usually done<br>ii) other free-energy types came out of the woodwork during Lee's run and shared their experiences<br>iii) the lengths to which the energy cartel will go to keep the energy scarcity mindset locked-in<br><br>iii) is most interesting to me: if a free-ish energy device were truly impossible one would suspect the rational approach would be to let the proponents of such devices ultimately discredit themselves, but instead the approach taken is severe suppression (including hush money offers) even of obvious fakes, presumably to keep the idea from gaining broader currency.<br><br>I wish the author had an editor, but if you've got the time to spare it's highly recommend reading. <p></p><i></i>
