reposted from inside the thread on refco:

www.ahealedplanet.net/home.htm

Summary: Dennis Lee's accountant's quasi-autobiography. Dennis Lee was a free-energy guy -- in my mind, almost certainly a huckster (from engineering considerations of the designs as described in passing in the narrative) -- who got slammed and prosecuted for fraud pretty hard.

His accountant in general has had an interesting life, and in his discursive style he touches on all kinds of interesting things:
i) how accounting fraud at major firms is usually done
ii) other free-energy types came out of the woodwork during Lee's run and shared their experiences
iii) the lengths to which the energy cartel will go to keep the energy scarcity mindset locked-in

iii) is most interesting to me: if a free-ish energy device were truly impossible one would suspect the rational approach would be to let the proponents of such devices ultimately discredit themselves, but instead the approach taken is severe suppression (including hush money offers) even of obvious fakes, presumably to keep the idea from gaining broader currency.

I wish the author had an editor, but if you've got the time to spare it's highly recommend reading.

One of the more interesting and most revealing things that emerged out of the part of the article I read was how one of the numerous 'genuine misters', having taken his pound of flesh from the Lee group, was later found to be masquerading as a 'researcher' in the midst of the Tesla crowd.

That albeit tenuous link gave the whole story a realm of serious credibility as far as I was concerned.

I'm betting that I wouldnt mind the 'Misters' salary. Unfortunately, the insomnia associated with the blood money might kill me
