Oh this is fun. This is some sort of viral marketing campaign or something to that effect. At least, I'm going to assume so for now because it's fun trying to sort it out, though I question the ethics of such a move. If they are legit, we'll know soon enough when their building blows up mysteriously.

There is not much info on the page at all about the actual technology, despite the call for scientists to review. So I started by perusing the forums. Theories offered there include an xbox campaign for Halo 3. Halo 2 used a fake website as a marketing trick. check it out here:

ilovebees.com

Another theory is that there is currently some sort of online "alternate reality game" about the show "Lost" and I think that show may have a free energy theme or maybe is developing one. The idea is to find fake websites and I don't know what the end goal is.

There are a couple of similarities with the ilovebees site. For example, if you go to the registration page, you'll get a honeycomb. However, one theme on there seems to be fibbonaci numbers, which is odd since I DID just finish watching the movie "Pi" which featured this.

There are two "errors" on the site I've found so far. One is to announce the winner of some tech competition. The winner is called "blackhawk" on the page, but the true winner was "nighthawk" or at least so says a forum poster. Another error I found independently was in the news release about "canceling christmas" and giving money to the "chernobyl aid hope project". If such a project exists, they don't have a web presence as the only hit returned is the site itself.

Quote:
Steorn cancels Christmas!

In lieu of a Christmas party this year, Steorn has made a donation to the Chernobyl Aid Hope Project

The video they supply is just two guys talking...and not even seeming to be that aware of what the true implications would be...yeah, you can run your car and your cell phone without charging...and you also have free energy which would destroy and/or transform our entire economic system.

No....there's something wrong here and I hope I can catch them before they announce what the real game is. And hey, if it's a real site...I will happily eat crow. Ecstatically, in fact.

Also, remember that other weird site...the gratitude one? Maybe someone can dig that one up. We had a long thread about it...lots of images of spirals on it.
