Joe Lieberman's decision to make contingency plans to run as an independent likely cost him the victory in today's Democratic primary. Now he has to figure out what to do.<br><br>First on the list: Chuck Todd confirms our report last week that Lieberman will shake up his campaign staff. Key requirements: "Dem campaign history is a must as the Lieberman team doesn't want any GOP consultants helping due to his need to keep the Dems he has already."<br><br>Watch for the following:<br><br>1. With such a close finish, there will be a lot of second guessing over the campaign's decision to pull back on GOTV efforts.<br><br>2. Over the next 24 hours, many national Democrats -- including Bill Clinton and Sen. Chris Dodd -- will try to convince Lieberman not to run as an independent. Any Democrat running for president in 2008 will be forced to go on the record supporting Lamont.<br><br>3. What will Republicans do?
