There's an interesting thread at DailyKos speculating about the letter Libby sent to Miller, parts of which (or all of it?) have been leaked to the interwebs. The speculation being it's some sort of coded message...

Fun stuff. Who knows. It seems reasonable.

I think this is a reasonable interpretation. He speaks of aspens "turning" in clusters...maybe a coded reference to others who are about to "turn" or others who must be protected. It's not a code you can "crack" but more like inside language that she's easily pick up on but without context will be hard to interpret.

Aspen Institute, Berlin, from where John Bolton just snagged his neocon loyalist, Dr. Jeffrey Gedmin.

Additionally, there was the Forstmann conference in Aspen, CO, recently, which Novakula attended and described...

Interesting development this morning:

JJ Balzer:

Quote:
Then came the surprise revelation from George Stephanopoulos that is
guaranteed to make waves — and headlines on tonight's network news
shows: "I wonder, George Will, do you think it’s a manageable one for
the White House, especially if we don’t know whether Fitzgerald is going
to write a report or have indictments, but if he is able to show — as a
source close to this told me this week — that President Bush and Vice
President Cheney were actually involved in some of these discussions?"
