Also, consider how two food items -- baking soda and vinegar -- react when mixed. So it's not right to assume that it's horrible artificial ingredients causing the reaction, although it's certainly understandable to think that when you see those giant jets of foam! <p></p><i></i>

I ran up to the gas station today and grabbed a diet coke and some mentos hoping to freak my kid out with a crazy soda geyser but it barely fizzed for more than a second or two and there wasn't any kind of jet like they showed; was just like if you opened a bottle of soda that had fallen or been shaken.. <p></p><i></i>
