CNN celebrates 9/11's anniversary

Postby so buttons » Sat Aug 26, 2006 12:09 am

is anyone else disturbed by the fact that CNN is rebroadcasting its original 9/11 footage in real time in commemoration of the fifth anniversary?

I think that's tasteless, but that's the world we live in. I'm still sufficiently disturbed from the first time that I'll not watch it again. On the good side, it will serve to remind people of why we're fighting, and just what sort of loathsome monsters we're being attacked by.

-Sepka the Space Weasel

Guys, they're doing re-broadcasting it on the net, not TV, and if the re-broadcast were totally uncut it'd be a great opportunity for 9/11 skeptics to recapture the context of the day, maybe pick up on some "throwaway" rumors and comments by talking heads, etc.

but to watch it in order to pick up the "throwaway" comments, you still have to watch everything else. i watched it unfold in real time when it originally happened and i can't see any constructive reason for walking through that experience again.

I think watching the footage again could be very useful.
It could reawaken one's thought process of that day.
But even more you might notice something new.
