I listened through the two tapes and looked closely at the aerial image of the floodwall break. In view of reports that explosions were heard at the time of the break, I have been suspicious that it was an intentional flood.

Now those of you who went thru the whole presentation will have seen that the author is right, that debris washed up against the Bucktownr Bridge on the lake side of it and served as a dam which prevented canal water from running out into the lake, whose level is much lower at the time the picture was taken. So the author's contention, made repeatedly, is that the high water level in the canal caused the breach, and he blames the NOPD and/or FEMA for not noticing this debris dam in time to stop the pumping. If I didn't know better I'd say it sounded like a cover story whipped up in a hurry.

I admit to being a hopeless skeptic, but the dynamite story holds more water for me. Still considering all the possible explanations. Yes, a panicky rush to get the water out come what may, when all the right people were not on hand to coordinate communication, makes sense. However, such a long section of concrete seawall should not have been swept out of place without help from explosives. The sound was there. A diver found evidence of explosives too.

I am sure that whatever the truth we the people will never be told. BTW, a bit of research, or checking with old New Orleanians, will confirm that the New Orleans Levee Board is a well entrenched and very corrupt agency. (I lived there for twelve years)
