sw, something tells me that real terrorists who hate us for our foreign policy would have a real hard time pulling anything off during a weather event like this, and they'd have that figured out and would go for something easier. they'd be making plans of a different nature all along, i think.

and at a sheer gut level, i'm pretty sure the big wealthpower players are just getting started on their plans to rake in a larger and larger percentage of the world's wealth. i don't think they're nearly ready to play end-game yet. odd, but in a way, maybe their own greed implies that the worst isn't likely at all?

it must be SO cool to swim with the dolphins! thanks, i needed that visual...the one where you swam with them.

and, i almost forgot, on CNN they said it again. Aaron Brown said the mayor said they did have plans to pre-position gasoline, and that didn't happen.

here's how much mileage the cabal got out of 9/11 - we are now so frightened of terrorists on a plane that we can't move ourselves out of the way of known harm because we can't consider putting people on a plane without all the screening.

CNN folks just noticing odd little jog to the left. Not saying it's odd for a hurricane...I guess they bounce around...but anyway, it may change the track a bit.

sat image sequence edited?

Postby firstimer » Fri Sep 23, 2005 3:54 am

Watch that loop a couple of times. Notice in your peripheral vision how everything jumps between the frames where the 2nd double-eye forms and dissappears?

Now watch cluod formations southwest of baja at that point. Why would a significant change happen there as well? only one reason,
longer time lapse. Are frames missing? usually sats image regularly to provide consistant data for modeling.

Why was there a delay in image capture right after the double-eye, or why were frames deleted from the gif animation or mpeg movie. Looking at the time stamp, we see consistant 30 minute intervals all of the way through. Why was there such a greater global atmospheric shift between the last two frames?

Unlikely isn't it?

The sequence feels like there is a frame missing between the last two images, yet the time stamp denies it.

Save the movie---I'm convinced something is fishy there, but can't put my finger on why. I am trying but its a java app and it is calling individual frames as such: ////

I got them they are dropped in the same directory as the HTML just load:www.ssec.wisc.edu/data/us...image0.jpg
and then:www.ssec.wisc.edu/data/us...image1.jpg and so on until 7

also look at this, why is this down? cimss.ssec.wisc.edu/aeri/...rent.shtml

Atmospheric Emitted Radiance Interferometer (AERI)

here's what it for: ams.allenpress.com/amsonl...2.0.CO%3B2

I wanted to compare timestamps to see if there was correlation, but cant because it is temporarily down.

Hmmm...

firstimer

Don't worry

Postby GDN01 » Fri Sep 23, 2005 10:45 am

I am heading out to friends who live a bit up the road. We have at least 6 hours before bad weather hits and that is plenty of time to get there. I probably won't have computer access til I come back home, which could be a couple of days. So don't worry if I don't post again for several days. They are predicting this storm is going to get stalled over us for a couple of days - so who knows when we will have electricity. I just don't want to ride this thing out alone with my kids. They are scared and want to be with a group of people and more adults than just their mom. I've got everyone who needed help in a safe place, as best I can and they have opened a local shelter in a high school - finally! So we've sent everyone needing shelter there and closed our building and offices completely.

Anna, I'll take your phone number with me and if I can get a call out, I'll try to get you an update.

Thank you all for your support these last few days. It means more than I can say. It has been helpful to write all my anxiety here and then get up and go back to work. I'll be in touch when I can.

Gale

be careful and good luck

Postby firstimer » Fri Sep 23, 2005 11:04 am

GDN01,

We don't know each other, but I have been following your situation. I probably have nothing to offer but my hope that things will be OK for you and your family. Somebody's premonition from last night came true and the matrix of risk might have another dimension to it for those in southern TX and LA. Hang tight, keep a low profile and remember everything you witnessed in NOLA. A "terrorist" attack is just the excuse that Bush needed to get the Martial Law he wanted in NOLA but didn't get. I know you know all of this already, but it needed to be posted.

Good LucK

firstimer

Firstimer, when a "discussion board" gets full, a new board has to be started, so don't try to post on the old board. Great to browse, though. We are on our second one now.
