you said you bet it looked exactly like that at the astrodome.

it didn't.

it sure as hell didn't.

and because people have been led to believe it did, they can continue to both falsely cast "human nature" as violent and claim we're just animals.

Astrodome is in Texas

Postby GDN01 » Sun Oct 02, 2005 4:28 pm

Just a note of fact: The Astrodome is in Houston Texas and was fairly orderly and the people received much needed assistance (although there were many problems there, too.)

It was the Superdome, in New Orleans, where there was chaos and horrific conditions. And I side with AnnaLivia on this one!

Hey Anna - how are you?

bother anyone?

Postby somebody » Sun Oct 02, 2005 4:54 pm

Don't these pictures bother anyone??? I find them quite disturbing, photoshoped or not. Very sick. There is something very wrong with posting this. I hope it gets removed. Coming to this board is becoming more distrubing all the time. Something is changing here, or maybe it's just me. I like to pick up useful information, but this is just garbage! No redeming quality what-so-ever.

wish i knew how to do pics

Postby AnnaLivia » Sun Oct 02, 2005 5:44 pm

Hi, GD! Had another bout with my intermittent pain condition, but I’m good again now, thanx for asking. Hope you be well, too. Now am busy, and getting busier. Don’t tell anybody, sis, but I’m finally…after nearly four years in the works and the waiting, going to get my carcass to Australia/New Zealand to live and love. Could be leaving in a few weeks. Still got preparations to make: you know…places to go, people to see, books to color in…

ditto, Somebody

Postby wintler » Sun Oct 02, 2005 9:04 pm

Ditto that Somebody, the photos are foul and having such like shown again and again along with unsubstantiated claims of "rape, mutilation.." etc makes people more frightened, more confident in their violence, and/or more subservient to those claiming to offer comfort and security.

Am not hoping photos removed, becasue its revealing what/who comes out to feed. Am nearly indifferent if fake or real, but am certain that parrallels with astro/superdome are sensationalistic and uninformative.

disturbing images

Postby glass » Sun Oct 02, 2005 9:30 pm

i don't think these pictures should be removed. But it might have been a good idea to warn people in the subject line that these pictures are disturbing. So that people could have a choice of whether they wanted to look or not.

hemm

Postby Homeless Halo » Sun Oct 02, 2005 9:37 pm

I am not bothered by pictures of dogs attacking a cow.

I watch nature programs all the time. This is fairly normal, that is, for hungry animals to attempt to eat.

And, yes, most domestic cows could easily handle two of any kind of domestic dog.

It's a size thing. Hell, I could handle two domestic dogs, and the cow has probably 400 lbs at least, on me.
