[Not sure how long this one's gonna sit at DU, thought I'd snatch the info before it was sucked down]

Presently there is a discussion about the allegations of former professional dominatrix Leola McConnell, who is running a quixotic campaign for governor of Nevada, that she witnessed Bush engaging in homoerotic activities with Victor Ashe, his college roomate, fellow male cheerleader, good friend and former mayor of Knoxville (who, according to the Cannonfire blog has been accused of trying to pick up gay tricks in public toilets), which homoerotic encounters were arranged by said dominatrix in the mid 1980s. Randi Rhodes has been all over this story, and apparently called the dominatrix on the air, and the dominatrix confirmed the story.

On this website, a professional male "master" confirmed that McConnell had told him about Bennet being her "slave" several years ago. I'm not sure whether I can link to a sex related site, so I won't, but here is what "Master R" wrote:

<quote>

Hello from Master R
I had a great deal of communication with Ms. McConnell about two years ago. She had the courage to come out and say that Bill Bennet had been her slave. The story got published, and substantiated, in the NY Post and then dismissed by everyone. I told her at the time that what she was saying was putting her in serious danger, but she felt very strongly that the hypocrisy behind this was too great to remain unchallenged. (For what it is worth, I argued that we all deserve our privacy and we all have our secrets. We have seen some VERY powerful republicans here, and Democrats too; we all have our needs.)
Is it true? My impression, based on what she said at the time, the minimum press coverage her outing got, and what else I could find out, is that her relationship with Bennet is not a fabrication. That being said; I am going to give her an A+ for courage. I still don't think we should be outing our clients, but I do see her point that this sort of hypocrisy should not go unchallenged. These are very serious charges. It will be very easy for the liars in our current white house to deny them as the ravings of a mad person, and our sycophantic press to once again, listen to the party lies. Now that she has made the accusations, let us hope she has the proof to back them up. I would be surprised if she doesn't.
As to the comments in this thread, this woman is doing something extremely brave. She may need our support extremely soon. Let's hear her out, and not attempt to make her look like a fool. If this is true, it is a very serious matter.
Master R

access the forum:

Click through "Discussion", then "the Hang" and there are two threads about this under the forums entitled, "The Lobby" and "Personal Issues."

Edited by: et in Arcadia ego at: 6/11/06 6:44 pm
