Osvaldo Marcineiro / Brazilian satanic rituals / murder

I went to this Wikipedia article after looking up Cynthia Owen from the thread currently below this one and looked up the Brazilian case. The wiki article is unsourced but I have been able to find a few clues here and there, all in Portuguese. Wikipedia says:

In the early 1990s, was implicated in the ritualistic murders of several children. Osvaldo Marcineiro, confessed to murdering a number of young children in Satanic rituals, in which the children were tortured, murdered and their body parts cannibalised. A number of prominent citizens were arrested in relation to the murders, and it later emerged that they had paid the cult to conduct the murderous ceremonies. Brazilian authorities suggested that the cult was connected to Satanic groups internationally. In 2003, the Amazonian town of Altamira were convicted for the ritualistic murders of three children and the castration of two others. The victims were aged between 8 and 13 years, and they were kidnapped, tortured or killed between 1989 and 1993. Their genitals were removed and used in Satanic rituals. The charges related to the murders of three young children and the attempted murder of another, however, victims' families say that there were at least nineteen other murdered children.

The Tribunal de Justiça do Estado do Paraná says:

By unanimous vote, the 2nd Criminal Chamber dismissed two habeas corpus filed on behalf of Osvaldo carpenter and Vicente de Paula Ferreira, jailed for the crime of murder pluriqualificado the final session of trial by jury. Sentenced to 20 years and two months in prison for the murder of the child Evander, they claim to have voluntarily appeared to the jury and were subjected to illegal constraint, because even after lodging an appeal in the House, the judge ordered probation. The rapporteur of the request, Judge Leonardo Lustosa said the arrest occurred as a guarantee of public order there is no affront to the principle of presumption of innocence, due to gravity and a brutal crime that got even international repercussions. In his opinion, Lustosa said that the arrest shows the sensitivity of the judge, otherwise, the sense of impunity would be great.

(Marcineiro must translate to carpenter.)

Some news type of organization says:

Celina Abagge and daughter Beatriz Abagge, accused of murdering a child in black magic ritual in Joinville, in 1992, will return to the dock. The Supreme Court ruled that the two should go to a retrial. They were acquitted by jury in the Forum of São José dos on March 98. It was the longest trial in the history of Brazilian justice system, with 34 days. The jury understood that it was not proven that the body found was the boy killed. But the DNA test was positive in 99%. The prosecutor appealed, asking that the jury had been canceled. The defense managed to keep the decision in higher courts until the case reached the Supreme Court. The trial in the Supreme Court was presided over by Minister Celso de Mello. The rapporteur, Minister Eros Grau, found that the decision to acquit the defendants was "arbitrary and manifestly contrary to the evidence in the file. The date the new trial has not been defined. The Private of the 2nd Circuit Court jury of Curitiba received the decision this week.

The boy Evandro Ramos Caetano was seven years old when he was assassinated. The body was found on the mill Aldo Abagge, husband of Celina and then mayor of Guaratuba. Five other accused of the crime were also judged.

Three were convicted. The father-of-saint Osvaldo carpenter and Vicente de Paula Ferreia took 20 years in prison. David Soares dos Santos was sentenced to 18 years and 8 months in prison. They are serving sentences. Two others accused of involvement, Bardelli Airton dos Santos and Francisco Cristofolini, were acquitted in jury.

Apparently the wife and daughter of the mayor were arrested and accused of ordering the murder but later acquitted and then in 2003 that verdict was overturned and I don't know what has happened since then. (I think they were originally acquitted because it wasn't satisfactorily proven that the body was the boy's but later they realized that it was him after all.)
