Satanic abuse of children doesn't exist...No, wait, it does

* Funny that, just days after this RA-denying column runs in the local "alternative" weekly, the Chicago Reader, this story breaks about a man who abducted two children with the intent to perform a "satanic ritual" with them.

* The latest local story involving Satanism allegations triggers a memory of a story from ten years back with a bizarre twist: the sex abuse, child pornography and other charges against former IL congressman (and Rhodes Scholar) Mel Reynolds. Although there was little question Reynolds had initiated some kind of relationship with the woman when she was underage, she later recanted the charges that they had had sex, saying prosecutors had "pressured" her into bringing them and that she had "enticed" Reynolds into making sexual suggestions over the telephone to entrap him. Despite the recantation, the damage was done -- Reynold was in jail and his career ruined. What actually did happen between the two is still somewhat of a mystery.

The really interesting thing is that at the time the charges were filed, Reynolds' office responded by calling the accuser a lesbian and a "Satan worshiper." To my knowledge only one outlet, the Chicago Sun-Times, reported this charge. The paper never saw fit to print Reynolds' (or his aides') reasons for calling Heard a Satanist, nor to ask the "Why" behind such a charge.

Heard acknowledged her lesbian relationships but brushed off any charges of Satanism.

* I'll conclude with something I mentioned in one of the RI "Comments" a couple weeks ago, but was probably little read.

The Bible says that the devil likes to dress up like an "angel of light." If this is so, we would expect to see many "Christian" ministries which, wittingly or unwittingly, provide cover for the bad guys.

One example I've witnessed lately is this one. Despite their professed mission of reaching out to occultists, the personages behind this site have a hard and fast policy of complete and total denial and instant censoring of all references to ritual abuse/sacrifice, and anything deeper than cartoon Satanism. I've seen individuals who posted about ritual abuse, the McMartin case, etc., censored and booted out of their forum faster than you could say "Beelzebub." They apparently freeze or ban such posters immediately, making it impossible for them to reply or for other forum participants to private-message them. The moderators then rehearse the standard boilerplate denials straight out of the FMSF handbook. They cite 15-year-old articles written by pro-FMSF religious organizations as "proof" that it's all just "satanic panic."

Whether they know it or not, these "Christians" are serving as accomplices to evil under the banner of serving Christ. Go pay them a visit and try to post anything about SRA, and see how quickly you get bounced out!

Mr. E
(formerly PeopleNotSheeple, formerly "Freddy Fingers") r

"many Christian ministries wittingly or unwittingly providing cover for the bad guys."
or in fact perpetrators setting up ministries which do just exactly give cover and hook in victims. 2 parallel systems, with same headhonchos, but many worthy innocents also involved. such ministries typically provide outreach to vulnerable people, but then so do the good guys.
the path to healing has always been a rough one for escapees, but other groups are targeted, typically, the young, lonely, homeless. and overseas mission work can be part of the package.
a lot of money is made on the back of others suffering.

yep, the traps

Postby ir » Tue Nov 29, 2005 12:36 pm

totally, escapees from all kinds of trouble end up in the hands of worse abusers. THis is in fact the case in all those "boys town" and other homes of neglected children, but also in hospitals and organizations. I remember meeing people who were active in torture survivors advocacy, in Vancouver, and on closer look, the core groups consists of "back stage" Germans who were into the 2012 apocalypse and all kinds of wierd "spiritual practices", particulalry interested in survivors who have had psychic torment/.abuse as part of torture (MC/RA). It was sickening.
Which reminds me of a great episode on "Prime Suspect", when it turns out that a major war criminal from Bosnia is heading an organization for refugees and survivors in the UK, as part of a witness protection...great progam.

www.pbs.org/wgbh/masterpi...notes.html

It is exactly the "out of the frying pan, into the fire" situation which is the utter delight of the devil. These fiends standing at the ready to catch someone trying to escape. But too bad, many are escaping and puttingtheir lives back together. And there are many, many people of faith who believe the truth being told by these remarkable survivors. Traps, yes, but the word is getting out.
