The author of a new peterson book was just talking about 7 pregnant women going missing on days marked on the 'Satanic calender' as a day of sacrifice..He claims Lacie was a SR victim.

Don't know if this is on the table already here, but I was galvanaized when I heard the interview in the background while working..The guy was talking about a Satanic group in the city she was killed in and spoke about how she was found, etc..

I missed alot of it, but maybe it will be on again.

edit: seems to still be on..The author was an early member of the defence..I heard about this guy before, but the Satanic thing was wild..

Check it out if you can right now

Edited by: et in Arcadia ego at: 12/13/05 4:16 pm

Thanks for posting that. I don't get MSNBC so couldn't tune in, but that story looks worth exploring.

Jeff, I suggest you look into the alledged 'suppressed evidence' that was refered to. Like an idiot, I failed to grab the author/attorney's name, but it's an easy find..

When I heard the words "Satanists" across the room, my hair stood up on end. This guy is gunning for what he says is a suppressed case that was sabotaged by Peterson's attorney.

We'll all do some digging I'm sure.

Bring it on home, boys..

This is RI material if I've ever seen any.

Start here, with this video link that can be found at this MSNBC page:

www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8004316/

In the list it says simply 'Peterson Case'. I was unable to download it cause I use Firefox, so someone with IE6 is gona need to get in there and check it out.

Will return with more if/when I find it.

The city has a long history of Cult activity that the media has ignored; We're sitting on a sleeper here..The lawyer mentions a police report into the Cult investigation as what initially tipped him off. Finding this report seems to be a good next objective if it's possible..despite the stone-wall I predict it ran across..

Modesto has a large history of Satanism? You have GOt to be joking. One of the "Satanic cults" investigated in the Peterson case was the fluffiest Wiccan groups imaginable; filled to the brim with plus sized feminist wiccabes all busy waving athames. There were some accusations that the local pagan store, Whispered Prayers, was a site of a "sacrifice" and the whole lot was interviewed by GMA. When it was revealed that this group was a clueless bunch of gits, the "sacrifice spot" shifted to some garden supply shop where the owner was completely bewildered at how his shop name entered into it. I live in Sonora, and know the majority of the Modesto "scene", and those people are too goofy to have ANY organized Satanic cult running around. Sheesh.
It would not surprise me if it were out of towners; our county (Tuolumne) has had a lot of bodies dumped in the reservoirs by Russian mobsters out of LA. I think the reason her body showed up where it did, IF it has a RA coonection, would have to do with the proximity to the Bay Area. Modesto is little better than an overgrown cow town.

Fair enough, but we'll see what we see..

Last time I hung out with a Wiccan group they weren't all too interested in sacrificing pregnant women, so I'll have to beg your pardon while I suspend judgement on your dismissals.

I am sorry, were you answering me? That is what I am trying to say: there are lots of Wicccans in Modesto, and none of them are into sacrifice of pregnant women, etc.
I am not trying to discount what you say completely, but this guy is on the wrong track with the groups that have been blamed several times in the past. The guy in the interview mentions his "investigation" of the local groups; the Modesto groups were interviewed by him as well as the Modesto PD and FBI. I know many of the people they spoke to, the ones currently being accused of "satanic cult" activity, and it is the last thing on their minds. I believe in RA, have no problem positing it, but I was around there when these people were being interviewed and the accusations were flying in the media and online about Whispered Prayers, Fellowship of the Eearth and some of the others, and they were NOT Satanists, and Laci was NOT murdered in the back room of Whispered Prayers.
So sorry if my post came across the wrong way. If there is organized Satanic activity in Modesto, I would be REALLY really surprised, as the people investigated were completely harmless goofballs incapable of planning a homicide like that.
