:-) rockets in my space, sounds almost nice :-))

well, i think that life for the average ghetto resident in harlem or south central LA, amongst the rockets of the gangs and the "highs" of the drugs, is quite similar, or any homeless you meet on the main treet.

Its all connected to "living in danger of survival", lower chakra (one lower than the sex charka). A very silly place to be in.
-------------------
If you think about it, the level of NOISE that both Israel and Palestine raise on each death is MUCH louder than the daily harvest of horrors in africa for instance, or you can compare the bomb in India, in terms of "headlines". This is something Israel is intent on keeping, because of the holocaust trauma of being slaughtered without any noise or headlines. So, for now the world will have to hear LOUD every bomb and soldier dying in Israel (but on the other hand rest assure many more are dying here without any mention, just from the simple greed of economic system. I am more disturbed by that silent killer, than the death by terror or war. I think the total death in ISraeli wars/military is around 12,000-20,000 (at most !). That goes for 5 wars that engaged the world attention for more than half a century.
---
I am more disturbed by the number of incarcerated palestinians for instance (unbelivable numbers); death by hunger (indirectly, as health problems), lack of medical treatment, pollution etc. When you die, you die, whether its a shell in Nahariya and your name is spread on 120 national newspapers worlwide, or you just die quietly at home, because the Israeli medical system did not include your medication in the "basket" of subsidized drugs.

yes, Sweejak piped in about a blogger who committed suicide and I don't know where that came from, or what he was responding to. Now it seems someone is trying to post about "strange spooky interruptions on the board" but no actual post.

Strange and spooky indeed.

I was responding to the title of a post which contained a link to a radio snip from Lebanon. I was wondering if the guy in the radio show committed suicide, but the title of the post was wrong.

USS Fox

Postby Sweejak » Thu Jul 13, 2006 3:30 pm

How ironic. I can't help but think of the USS Liberty.

www.rawstory.com/news/200..._0713.html

After revealing detailed information about the movement of Israeli troops, a Fox News crew has been shot at on live television.

*partial excerpt of interview*

MILLER: Oh, someone's firing. I think we are going to boogie out of here. I... but as we do that -- before we just rush into the car, we don't want to make any sudden movements here. We're going to get into the vehicle guys.

HOST: Ok. Hold on... David, David, get in the car. Get in the car. Go. We'll come back to you later.

MILLER: We're going to get into the vehicle guys. Get in the vehicle... We're in the... You know... Ok, it's difficult to tell who's firing at us. Again, I don't know if we're still up on the satellite.

HOST: David, is that an armored car?

MILLER: Overhead we can, over... We're in an armored car. That affords us a great degree of protection. Another concern that we do have in this location, is that overhead, we can hear off in the distance -- again, it's difficult to ascertain how far in the distance -- an Israeli drone aircraft. And it is from those aircraft that the Israelis have launched a number of airstrikes. So, that is an additional concern that we have broadcasting from this location. So, again, I don't know how far away that gun fire was. If it was Israeli gunfire it's difficult for us to say. It could just be someone with a weapon. For the most part, the area we're talking to you from is deserted. We still have that camera picture up and there is no one in sight here in front of us. The road is complete empty the buildings are abandoned. On the left side of your screen, just out of camera range, is one of the abandoned Israeli settlements. There is absolutely no one, no one that we can detect. So, at this time what I'd like to do is communicate with my photographer and see if we can get him to safety.... Pierre, are we going to get in the vehicle here and very slowly but deliberately leave the area. Ok, that said... We still hear shots... We're going to take our camera down, guys, and we're going to talk to you from a safer position. We're going to go.

HOST: Ok.

(Copied a post by Domitan at DU.)
