NASA in Israel<br><br>I had a bizarre experience I would like to share here...simply for the sharing.<br><br>When I was in high school I was hired for a summer job in a nearby laboratory of the Hebrew University near my hometown. It was the department of Soil and Water of the faculty of agriculture. I was an assistant to laboratory and my boss was running an experiment with all kind of nice powders, it was specimen of soil.<br><br>My job was to weigh the soils and place them in little tubes, and then later I was given jars with a purplish fluid that I was required to use on little cotton cloth, shaped as triangles and hang the wet triangles on the cap of the tube and close it shut. It then stood in a dark closed room for some days. <br><br>I didn't know why the fluid was kept in a safe, and had all kinds of weird looking hazard signs on it. My boss left me on my own and rarely came to check stuff. She would then enter the room with that funny looking gadget that made weird noises as she moved it in the lab. It was a Geiger meter....and the fluid was radioactive. I never received gloves, gowns or any protection. My "wage" was something like a dollar a day. <br><br>At the end of the three months, during which I practically did this same job, I was told that I should be proud, because this is an experiment for NASA, to help the voyager or whatever they had then up in space (it was 1977-<!--EZCODE EMOTICON START 8) --><img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/glasses.gif ALT="8)"><!--EZCODE EMOTICON END--> . The fluid was c-14 and some other "stuff" that was used to analyze the soil's reactions and see if they resemble reaction in martian soil. A year later they sent me a reprint of the paper, with my name in the last acknowledgement footnotes as "lab worker" or something. These were experiments aimed at deciding whether martian soil has biological reactions or just chemical.<br><br>Only as late as a few years ago, I realized I was abused. THeir intention was to send a minor, an unskilled and ignorant person to deal with the radiocative stuff which they knew was dangerous. Last year I wrote them a letter, and the funny thing about it is that the head of the department is still the same professor (30 years? that's crazy) and the direct boss, a real bitch is now a prof. in one of those bio-hi-tech genetic hellish research places. She wrote back that she remembers me and this incident but that she swears I was protected with special clothing (Bull SHIT ) and had been examined. The fact that I was a minor and that this is all illegal, she didn't relate to it at all. <br><br>I am now thinking is it possible that NASA assigned experiments to third world places, like ISrael then, to by pass the cost of safety measures ? when I am paranoid I am thinking that maybe part of the experiment was nuking me and seeing what happens..after all i am now reading how NASA employed ex nazi scientists, perhaps they were picking up the job they left behind ?<br><br>---------------------<br><br> <p></p><i></i>
