Whaaaa??!!!

Seriously. Anyone comparing this accident to 9/11 has got to be on crack. I mean, I'd love to debate pretty much anything, but this is beyond ridiculous.

Just imagine that the building had indeed collapsed. What would that have proven with regards to 9/11? That's right: absolutely nothing. Beyond the nouns "plane" and "building", the events have ZERO in common. You cannot possibly compare a 12 story brick appartment building to what once were some of the tallest buildings in the world.

Unbelievable.

" I mean seeing the differences between the plane crash in Iran and 9/11."

Well, of course I do. Part of my previous post was nothing more than ... well, provocation, I suppose. But there is a point to be made - the main difference between the "two" events is that in one, the building is still standing. Let's hope the architect of the replacement WTC towers has access to those Iranian plans - a cruddy apartment building erected on the site, while not being aesthetically pleasing, has at least the benefit of being plane-proof!

(As an aside, qutb, I have a lot of respect for both your argument and your patient level-headedness, and I would never go so far as to say you are "wrong" - I just don't know. None of us may ever "know".)

edit: Deep breaths, nomo - in, out, in, out ...

Edited by: Pants Elk at: 12/9/05 12:14 pm

Question

Postby bamabecky » Fri Dec 09, 2005 5:47 pm

How long does it take to wire a 42 (WTC #7) story building with explosives? Procure the needed materials and line up the necessary professional manpower to complete this job?

Answer that!

Assuming there were no "plans" to demolish WTC # 7 and that they only decided LATER in the day to "pull it" per Silverstein. My IQ says the JOB would take LONGER, than say 8 hours. So those who CLAIM WTC #7 was not a controlled demolition must be on crack or "perhaps their elevator doesn't go all the way to the top" or something??????

Those of you who do not believe that Controlled Demolition brought down the World Trade Center want me to believe that WTC #7 was wired for Demolition in less than 8 hours? Do I have that right? Ok, if that's the case and it was all ABOVE BOARD>>>>>Who was hired to do that explosive job? And how did they get it completed SO FAST in the midst of all that GOD AWFUL CONFUSION????????????

Or do you expect me to believe that WTC # 7 just fell down to the ground. That premise would be unprecedented. Tell me you believe THAT ONE.

A picture is worth 1000 words. Watch the videos and try to tell any demolition expert that WTC 7 was not brought down by controlled demolition. Record it for me - cause I want to see that!

Logic by extension: If WTC # 7 came down by "controlled demolition" and the twin towers LOOKED like they came down by "controlled demolition", my IQ says THEY ALL came down by controlled demolition.

And I didn't even have to waste any of my IQ brain cells reading some propaganda report with a fancy federal name.

Anyway physics professors with IQ's bigger than mine are arguing for the controlled demolition premise as well. I feel like I'm stating the OBVIOUS here. Huh? I guess not. Sheesh.

Bama

Be the Media! I see the resident posters on here defending all sorts of hocus pocus government spun conspiracy theories have neglegted and in some cases tried to 'deflect' a couple of my 'irrelevent' points.

for the side stepping, government conspiracy theory apologists posting on here, this is for you, you say lets forget the crumpling apartment block still standing and the twin towers and WTC7 pancaking and syruping. Okay fair enough, let me just side step that.

Now regarding the 'plane' crashing into the pentagon. How come people went into the debris in iran and pulled bodies out, and in the pentagon 'plane' crash the bodies just seemed to evaporate into thin air? no bodies anywhere? it seems the wreckage from the plane in iran is everywhere, and the pentagon 'crash' it is nowhere!!! sure beats me.

It seems i havant missed much since i have been away from this board, usual government theory apologists peddling the same old tired government hymm sheet truths.lol.

Government conspiracy theory apologists

Postby nomo » Fri Dec 09, 2005 7:11 pm

I do not consider myself to be a "government conspiracy theory apologist" -- plenty of stuff there that doesn't add up. All I'm saying is that I do not believe in controlled demolition of any of the WTC buildings. In fact, I believe that the whole CD theory is deliberately planted disinfo in order to discredit anything and anyone that its proponents associate with.

And in my view, when you're seriously trying to compare the Tehran crash with 9/11, you've just lost another huge chunk of credibility. Sometimes it's better to admit you simply don't know something, rather than to insist on explanations that lack any convincing proof.

Dark Points - "Those in Love with Velayat"

Postby Byrne » Sat Dec 10, 2005 9:04 am

For the record, I'm not 'seriously trying to compare the Tehran crash with 9/11'. I'll wait to see if any reports of enquiries into the Tehran crash incident are published (but I wouldn't hold out much hope).

The structures are completely different - i.e Tehran is a reinforced concrete structure whereas the WTC's were steel framed, and without knowing details of the collision angles/plane speed/fuel quantity/building construction details/timings etc. (i.e. things that are known about the WTC's) there is no empirical validity in comparing the two events (or is that 4 events?)

One can only cogitate that all 4 buildnings shouldn't have collapsed.

Regarding the Iranian New Agency report referencing the 'Dark Points' of the incident, there is no further update on this subject on the Iranian News Agency Website. However, I did find this there www.irna.ir/en/news/view/menu-236/0512098233171440.htm
Quote:

1st Phase of Velayat Love Joint Maneuver begins in Oman Sea Chabahar, Sistan-Balouchestan Prov, Dec 9, IRNA
Iran-Military-Maneuver
The First Phase of `Those in Love with Velayat' Joint military maneuver started on Friday morning in waters of Oman Sea with the announcement of the maneuver's secret password in this phase, "O Seyed ul-Shohada!" The order for beginning the war massive games was issued by Emir Rear Admiral Sajjad Kouchaki and the commander of Karbala
headquarters, following which various units of the Islamic Republic Army, Islamic Republic Guard Corps (IRGC), Islamic Republic Police Force (IRPF) and Basij (mobilization) voluntary forces started a phase of the most massive war games of the country's entire armed forces.

According to the Propagation Headquarters of the Joint Maneuver, the combatants taking part in the war game following hearing the secret password from the commander of the Karbala Operation Headquarters, left their stations toward the vast operation ground of the war games.

The spokesman for the maneuver told IRNA, "The maneuver plans have been devised by the commanders in a way to provide sufficient technical and military information for participant units that come from beyond the war game's regions to put on display their capabilities for fighting real wars, resorting to strategies of non-classical combats."
Admiral Sayyari emphasized, "The strategic war game, closest possible version of a military maneuver to a real war, extends from the strategic Hormoz Strait to Guatr Port of Chabahar that is the south-most border point of the country in the north of the Indian Ocean at a 33 nautical mile area."
He added, "Powerful locally manufactured submarines would launch their depth against surface and in-depth operations in deep parts of Oman Sea and the Indian Ocean."
The spokesman for `Those in Love with Velayat' maneuver reiterated helicopters equipped with sonar devices (capable of detecting passage of submarines) play an important role in detecting and destroying the enemy's submarines."
He added, "Hovercrafts, small navy ships capable of launching missile attacks, tactical ship breaker warships, frogmen, commandoes, and musketeers from both the navy and the IRGC will then take position in the maneuver zone and begin their mission in the massive war game." Admiral Sayyari said, "In this maneuver the Islamic Republic Army's Air Force, too, would support all participating units, taking advantage of reconnaissance planes, its sea patrol planes and its bomber jets."
He announced, "According to military experts, the country's most expert military, police, and Basiji forces will take part in the maneuver, being fully equipped and quite ready, taking advantage of the country's missile sites for defensive and offensive operations, and for countering the sea, undersea, and air attacks of the enemies' forces in five `national reconciliation' phases, aimed at defending Islamic Iran."
Chabahar Port City, the country's farthest southeast point, is on the coast of Oman Sea.

(My emphasis added above).
This would appear to be the events that the journalists & mediamen on the crashed C130 were going to visit.

This would seem to be an Iranian show of force to counter the recent uptalk of military strikes against Iran by Israel & the US. Maybe things are hotting up?

The site www.irna.ir/en/news/menu-236/ is worth keeping an eye on to see how things develop.

I have a horrible feeling about all this though, with the lead up to March 2006 & Irans declared intentions to commence the Oil Bourse alternative to the dollar (see www.energybulletin.net/7707.html )
