I like it. The 2nd painting reminds me of the protohumans in "2001: A Space Odyssey." <p></p><i></i>

That second painting is from a World Book Encyclopedia anthropology article; I remember it well. In the early '60's the Leakeys were in the annual Science Year Book, and that painting was supposed to represent "modern man" with early weapons (those were long spears with sharpened and burnt ends) overcoming the ape-like earlier model.<br><br>This version, with flowers in the hands of the Cro-Magnons and orbs in the primitives' hands, is far more interesting. --MaryK <p></p><i></i>
