What do you think of this?

No opinion myself. Other than, as usual, I'd like to see more of the source video than these few seconds.

Looks real

Postby Dreams End » Wed Aug 02, 2006 2:52 pm

But I can't tell of real "what". Really could be a large radio controlled glider or one of those drones. It could have propellers or such that we can't make out.

IT appears to go behind objects in the foreground but you can't tell how far behind them it is so it's hard to get a sense of size. Judging from the building it's seen going behind, it is probably pretty big.

I couldn't find any details about this video, though. Who shot it, where, witness accounts...etc.

Yeah Interesting

Postby JD » Wed Aug 02, 2006 5:34 pm

I'd really like if this was an experimental or black aircraft but am very skeptical.

At approximately second 21 the object goes off-screen and comes back again at approximately second 23 far higher in the sky than the previous flight path. I don't think a normal aircraft could have jumped like that.

Note that it never really crossed behind a building, but only towers on buildings and/or architectural details of the buildings. This could be to “trick” our eyes into making it seem bigger than it really is.

I think the most likely explanation is a hoax/model but reserve the right to change my mind if more info comes in.

Looks like an RC model plane

Postby Corvidaerex » Wed Aug 02, 2006 5:56 pm

Obviously hard to make any conclusions, but it doesn't seem to be very big, in part because it seems fairly close to the buildings it passes.

I'm one of the thousands and thousands who have witnessed one of the "classic" monster black triangles along a U.S. highway, and the thing in this google video is not one of those, at least.

These monster triangle things may well be earth-based military technology and nothing more, but they *feel* otherworldly ... the person who witnessed it with me reported exactly the kind of goosebumps / adrenaline / awe that I felt, and we both had dreams about it for some time afterwards.

And if they are "ours," then it's just more proof that modern warfare is an absolute scam ... because if you had a fleet of these things, you could appear anywhere in the world, drop in exactly where you want to go (Saddam's palace, say), drop a dozen special forces inside, vanish (these things vanish, as well as hover in absolute silence), pick up your special forces when they're done, and zip away so quick that all anybody on the ground will see is a point of light on the horizon.

Shadow Ship

Postby JD » Wed Aug 02, 2006 7:19 pm

Did it look anything like this?

Interesting comments wrt how the triangle you sighted made you feel. In the fictional world of Babylon 5, sighting the shadow ships made the characters react the same way.

Could you guys PLEASE elaborate and detail on your sightings?

This is a really fascinating topic to me on many levels. The sham aspect of modern war is a great observation that I hadn't thought of.

No time to delve into it all; but the electrogravitic drive employed by the B2 in Air International by Bill Gunston and the followup book by Nick Cook really caught my attention. My best guess is that Gunston was just doing good journalism, and Cook's book is a disinformation effort to muddy the waters after Gunston spilled some significant beans.

Lucky Fuckers.

A few months ago I was headed to Area 51 with 3 grams of Hash and a new Digi. Got arrested before I got there though. Damn it.

My Godfather said a good point tho....."With three grams of Hash I KNOW you would have seen UFO's"

HA!

In the video there is a flying metal object that is real. Has nothing to do with disbelief or belief. It's there, and what more can be said?

I'm a little puzzled that a video like this would get the "do you believe or not believe" treatment. The thing is there.
Quite simply there. Looks like a man made contraption.

Its velocity and flight path are quite constant. It never really accelerates or decelerates. Not sure what that means. It would also seem that the craft is traveling a little too slow for a conventional aircraft (it would need to be traveling faster to produce enough lift to keep it aloft). But these are all assumptions; the craft could be made out of extremely light materials. No goose bumps on this one here. I would say that if this is a real craft of terrestrial origin, that it is an experimental military test aircraft. But this makes no sense also, why would you fly a top secret test platform in broad daylight at low speed/altitude over a seemingly high populated area? Leads me to think this is a hoax.

I agree, mil. 'experimental'.

definitely no 'goosebumps', although I experience it more as a metalic fuzziness vibe, and dark, very dark.
the 'otherworldliness' effect I attribute to some kind of deep instinct, if you like, kicks in, 'cos they're reading you and you're reading them. 'normal' fields have been breached.

and does that thing have an exhaust ?

don't think it's a hoax, more like an introductory exercise.

"why would you fly a top secret test platform in broad daylight at low speed/altitude over a seemingly high populated area?"

That's always the question.

I've been reading Night Siege, coauthored by Hynek (his last book), about the triangle sightings in the Hudson Valley in the mid-80s. Like the triangle flap in Belgium, and the "Phoenix lights," which multiple witnesses claimed were the lights on the edges of a massive triangle, these things seem purposefully to make spectacles of themselves.

I wrote a bit about them a while ago in this post. I should revisit the subject sometime.

We can speculate all we want -- military, ET, hoax, something else entirely -- but without having any information about the sighting and the videographer, it's moot. And sadly, that's the achilles heel of UFO image analysis in the digital age.

Images are very good to analyze these days...if and only if you have independent witness reports. that was an awfully long and prominent event...someone should have seen it and the local paper should have had the footage, etc.
