Curious about the band/album.<br><br>I took the name from the references to the fictional Trystero family's historical predecessor and rival in Pynchon's "Crying of Lot 49".<br><br>The Trystero family created the underground postal system W.A.S.T.E. a communication network at heart of Pynchon's fictional conspiratorial web. <br><br><!--EZCODE AUTOLINK START--><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thurn_and_Taxis_Postal_System">en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thu...tal_System</a><!--EZCODE AUTOLINK END--><br><br>If you haven't read any Pynchon, The Crying of Lot 49 is a great place to start. Short, witty, and breezy it cuts to the heart of the cryptocratic maze of post-industrial, post-war America.
