Two military personnel, Vice-Chancellor of Bahauddin Zakariya University, Dr. Muhammad Naseer, and eight women, including two flight attendants, were also among those killed.

Of course, there was nary a mention of the Pakistani crash in most of the western media. I wouldn't be surprised if intelligence agencies between India and Pakistan have done a few dirty things this week.

One that didn't happen

The other night up the road someone lit a fire under the hall at the local school.

It got put out in time, but at the same time the gas and propane tanks out the back were hot to touch by the time the fire was out. Pretty close.

We live "next door" to the school, but its a km up the road.

Half an hour after the supposed ignition time we had a visit from some nutcase. Never seen him round here before, he had obviously been sleeping rough for a while.

Came in asking for a glass of water. I was tempted to offer him a bed for the night. But he was off his nut so there's no way he's spending the night in the house. Mate the stuff he was going on about... If not for the incoherence and that he could have been a poster at this board.

I think crazy people have psychic ability, they just don't know how to control or interpret the information flow. So he was either picking stuff out of my head, or he was aware of some strange things.

But he was obviously insane. Muttering about "their" peadophile religion every time a politician came on the tv (it was during lateline so that was all he did). I don't like the idea of saying "he did it" but I am pretty sure this guy was responsible for the fire at the schjool. Tho whether he deliberately lit it to cause trouble, or he lit it to keep warm, then someone from the hippie commune next door saw him and yelled and he took off i don't know. It could have been someone else, tho not many people wander around here at night in the middle of winter.

It was an interesting coincidence cos if two particular individuals hadn't been switched on and good firefighters we might have had another explosion to add to your list Stickydog. And if so it was probably lit by a mental case who thinks there is a peadophile religion and has some issues with it...

Anyway i walked him down to the gate on the main road and was wandering back when a emergency vehicle came roaring up the road. I heard the crash as he jumped into the bush before it came around the corner.

Then I found out about the fire. So I went back out and tracked him through the scrub for a while, it is easy in the moonlight when your quarry thinks they are an elephant. But he was heading down into the valley away from the house.

So I left it at that. Someone told the cops tho so they were round the next day for a description. I told them the guy needs help not necessarily a gaol cell. But if he does anything stupid around here a goal cell might be the only safe place for him.

It was a full moon that night btw.

Bizarre guy hey.
