Game says "Protect your Country... by Attacking it"

Postby The Omega Man » Sat Oct 14, 2006 1:07 pm

Marketed directly towards the youth, the new Ubisoft game "Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent", is the latest round of agit-prop to introduce the concept of information warfare. Emblazoned on the backs of comic books is a full page advert that touts the sickness... "Protect your country... By attacking it." And features an SAS looking prototype as the protagonist Sam Fisher, who ostensibly goes to immoral, traitorous and illegal extremes to meet the objectives to satiate his overlords. If anyone is interested and can tell me how I could upload an actual scan of the advert I'd be much obliged.

You can check out more of the vomitus here: Ubisoft's Splinter Cell Double Agent Apparently the agenda of this game for the youth is... "Hey kids, get really good at this game and shed your morals like a snakeskin, so you can play the advanced "no-reset" version in the field of government intelligence. Now with 100% more sanction!"

Edited by: The Omega Man at: 10/14/06 2:39 pm

Quote:
If anyone is interested and can tell me how I could upload an actual scan of the advert I'd be much obliged.

If you have the scan on your hard disk you will need to upload it to an image hosting site before posting a link to it on the board. You can sign up to Photobucket for free and put your pictures there. From there you can copy the URL, click the insert: image button on the left in the EZ comment page and paste the URL into the popup dialog box.

Alternatively, if you can find an image on the web, you can right click and select image properties, copy the URL (or adress) and paste that instead.

Tick that little preview box below to see if it looks right before posting and have a few practices to get it looking how you want it.

Clear as mud? Go for it!

Any questions just ask.
