Just kidding!

This is the Merry Christmas Wishes/Merry Winter Holidays thread!

I’ll start off with my cheers and good wishes…and the rest of you can chime in with whatever rings your bell or tides you glad this season...

firstly, in honor of the indefatigable DreamsEnd, for sharing the fruits of his research and his savvy perceptions, for his generosity, his time and efforts, his honesty, integrity, dependability, humility, courage, dedication, leadership, and good judgment…and for being a jolly-fine-fellow-Finnegan…

…A Flock of Chicks has been donated in your name, DE, to Heifer International, this Christmas Eve.

Not knowing your email addy, I could not have Heifer send you your ‘honor card’, but you can read about how the ducklings help people to help themselves, here:

www.heifer.org/site/apps/...tID=164803

Happy Holidays from an’ i luvvya, DE. All my best best wishes to you and yours for happiness and health and peace and prosperity. May the coming year bring you as many moments of joy as it can hold, and bring you continued strength as you do battle in the infowars. Namaste, my friend, DE. Keep well.

nextly,

As a far-too-small token of my very great appreciation and fondness for the astute, patient, talented, handsome (I don’t really know if that last one’s true, but I might as well flatter the boss) Mr. Jeff Wells … and as well to represent my heartfelt esteem and fondness for the many better (and smarter) angels here at Rigorous Intuition…

…a donation of Honeybees has been made to Heifer International this Christmas Eve, in the name of The Captain and Crew of Rigorous Intuition. There are far too many of you good “crewmembers” to mention individually (just try to make a list yourself and you’ll see!), so my ‘honors’ and my hearty good wishes and glad tidings go to you all as a group. May you find yourselves up to your necks in quiet pleasures and wild joys this season and this coming year, and may peace and justice unite us and be the goal we realize together yet.

You can all read about how the Heifer Honeybees help people help themselves, here:

www.heifer.org/site/apps/...tID=164802

Hmm…flocks of Chicks, and Honeybees.

It’s going to be a very sexy Christmas?

Wink wink u birds and bees
Love love u he’s and she’s
Happy Holidays from

AnnaLiviaPlurabelle

Oh wait…one more thing…(yeah, like I forgot)

To proldic, the RI man who feels/tastes/smells/sounds most like a brother to me (though I’m probably far cuter and mom probably likes me best) (ho ho ho) …proldic, the RI man I am most proud and grateful to call ally. My whole life’s journey is noticeably the sweeter, with horizons far the broader, for having discovered this guy on the same planet with me at the same time, named proldic, and all he has brought to the table. It is good just to know he is out there… living it, and living through it, so much the same as me. Yes, the senses…the sense is…that we have both tasted (or been served up) some of the same bitter injustice that made us determined to fight it with all we’ve got, and comrades we truly be as we search for and guide to a better future, season after season.

What tribute to give to proldic along with my best wishes?

How about this one, sugar? Having run low on funds before I decided, I had to choose between a Heifer animal for you, and winter windshield wipers for the mom-mobile when my old ones tore. So, safety first, I bought the wipers, got ‘em installed, then splashed the windshield with a little champagne and christened those Heavy-Duty Windshield Wipers “prol”, and “dic”, in your honor.

And now, just like their namesake, whenever “proldic” sweep by, the big-picture view gets cleared right up.

Thanks for helping to keep/make me safe, p. I know that’s what you try to do (for us all). And it’s the best, most loving gift there is.

Namaste, my very fine friend. Namaste.

And happy holidays.

(can i drink the rest of the champagne now, if I promise to visualize falling all over you?) wink wink grin grin! (ask the wife to kiss you on top of yor head for me.)

Love, Anna

(hey youse guys? …also at this link:

www.heifer.org/site/c.edJ.../b.489439/

you can read “A Happy and Healthy Holiday for Anna”, which I thought I’d throw in, in case any of you have last-minute shopping to do. methinks Jesus would like the idea of Heifer birthday presents!)

Oh and, do youse guys go out on amateur night, or shall we all get schnockered at our keyboards together on new years eve and type while intoxicated right here?

merry holidays, everybody!

Postby GDN01 » Sat Dec 24, 2005 3:45 pm

Merry Christmas to you and your family!

And Sweejak - one day we will meet at a Peace Rally, or back at Camp Casey this summer. Try not to be so scarce, AnnaLivia. I'm a worrier by nature. That, and I get kind of lost here without your perspective.

And on that subject, if you're listening Homeless Halo, drop us a line even just to let us know you're Ok. I’m not far away, Iroquois, but my shift to Australia is coming up real soon, and if I had left the planning and packing to Ruth, we’d get there with nothing but a top-notch manicure set, 3 cans of hairspray, the lime green short shorts, the purple leather bustier (and the red sequin dress and heels, of course), the secret recipe for her impossibly irresistible cookies, and the address of some sheik who’s named his stable of prize racehorses after her and keeps calling here at all hours.

I had to attend to business, you see.

And yeah, I’m kinda worried that Ann Coulter might have HH tied up somewhere and is torturing him with snippets from her book. We may have to send out a rescue party.

DE and AnnaLivia, back in the same thread....one of my hopes for Christmas has been realized. Thanks.

As for the rest of you Rigorous Intuiters...

Thanks for sharing, not only your intellect and significant ability to communicate, but your lives, your hopes, your dreams, your frustrations, and even your anger. It is exceedingly rare to find a group of folk anywhere, let alone in cyberland, who so consistently challenge each other vigorously and care about each other so sincerely. Whenever pain or fear have been expressed, someone, somehow has responded. Whether acknowledging a shared past horror or a willingness to provide transportation or housing to Katrina survivors, the response has been immediate and appropriate to the need. Y'all are somethin' else....and some of you more than that...and you know who you are.

So here's a little something for all of you to share. I was going to give you something of my own, but one of my favorites, Alice Persons, said the same thing so much better, and she wrote it first. Happy holidays to all.

The Perfect Day

You wake with
no aches
in the arms
of your beloved
to the smell of fresh coffee
you eat a giant breakfast
with no thought
of carbs
there is time to read
with a purring cat on your lap
later you walk by the ocean
with your dog
on this cut crystal day
your favorite music and the sun
fill the house
a short delicious nap
under a fleece throw
comes later
and the phone doesn't ring
at dusk you roast a chicken,
bake bread, make an exquisite
chocolate cake
for some friends
you've been missing
someone brings you an
unexpected present
and the wine is just right with the food
after a wonderful party
you sink into sleep
in a clean nightgown
in fresh sheets
your sweetheart doesn't snore
and in your dreams
and old piece of sadness
lifts away

by Alice N.
