well, technically thee Columbine shooters were older than me at the time of their massacre. i suppose someone could've at least taught them how to make functional pipe bombs. poor kids had terrible taste in firearms, too.

it was around this time, shortly thereafter, that i met Marilyn Manson for the first time though. nice guy really. i think what suprised me most about him was that he remembered me when i met him again a couple years later. he has a highly individualized intelligence and an extremely interesting approach to ego-mechanics.

a good demonstration of how far western culture has fallen in the last decade is that most of Mr. Manson's prophecies have been fulfilled. that is, he is now significantly less shocking than nightly network television.

Marilyn Manson -- Heart-Shaped Glasses

She reminds me of the one in school,
when I was cuttin'
she was dressed in white.
And I couldn't take my eyes off her,
but that's not what I took off that night,.
She'll never cover up what we did with her dress.
No.
She said "kiss me it'll heal,
but it won't forget".
"Kiss me it'll heal,
but it won't forget".

I don't mind you keeping me on pins and needles.
If I could stick to you,
and you stick me too.

Don't break,
Don't break my heart,
and I won't break your heart shaped glasses.
Little girl,
little girl you should close your eyes,
that blue is getting me high.
Don't break,
Don't break my heart,
and I won't break your heart shaped glasses.
Little girl,
little girl you should close your eyes,
that blue is getting me high.
Making me low.
That blue is getting me high.
Making me low.

She reminds me of the one I knew that cut up the negatives of my life.
I couldn't take my hands off her,
she wouldn't let me be anywhere but inside.

I don't mind you keeping me on pins and needles.
If I could stick to you,
and you stick me too.

Just,
Don't break,
Don't break my heart,
and I won't break your heart shaped glasses.
Little girl,
little girl you should close your eyes,
that blue is getting me high.
Don't break,
Don't break my heart,
and I won't break your heart shaped glasses.
Little girl,
little girl you should close your eyes,
that blue is getting me high.
Making me low.

She'll never cover up what we do with the dress.
No.
She said "kiss me it'll heal,
but it won't forget".

oy. i got that, yes. i took the pic too.

i simply wished to clarify my position wrt bastardliness. as it is, i am aware that i can come across as excessively aggressive at times. this, in tandem with a deliberately amoralist position can easily give the impression that i advocate senseless burning. which is only true sometimes.

...

re: television:

mr. manson seems to have gone into semi-hibernation, almost as if trying to live up to the expectations of being america's dark reflection was finally starting to actually bother him. poor man. his self-induced quasi-DID-tendencies are a fascinating [and recurring] set of reactions to catastrophic periods of late-imperial social history.

re-spacing [conceptually speaking, see, um, in english "Conceptual Spaces" by... err, Peter Gärdenfors, i think] of the ego-scaffolding is a primary technique of most [even ancient] occult schools. it can be useful for a variety of purposes, both healthy and malignant. in general, this is what i am always talking about, and is as close to explaining my "theme" as i could do in so many words. which is to say that i believe it is an ongoing natural process [often unnaturally subverted of course] which has a definite end [overcoming man] which is not only desirable but unavoidable. what is true for the body is true for the overbody. the rumblings of insanity which accompany new development are akin to the pain of newborns adjusting to the mountains of raw sensory input. this is inevitable and there are no simple solutions. in most ways it is a self-correcting system. in those ways in which it is not, it has invented YOU to compensate for its shortcomings. which is also to say that even though there are forces of overt control that may always wish to hamper and cage these processes for their own ends, this is an ultimate impossibility. they will fail. epic. again.
in the end: humanity wins. always.

i wouldn't say i have a connection with him. although i do find him and his methodologies to be very fascinating. also he was exceptionally polite and good natured during my somewhat brief interactions with his personage. also, he responds to well-meaning e-correspondancing. or used to, at least.

i've met lots of interesting people though. i go out of my way to do so occassionally and am somewhat adept at insinuating myself into my surroundings. this has always been true. mr. manson was probably one of a very few infamous folk i've met who seemed to mostly live up to his projections.

oy again. ey penguin:
wrt: cake.
you may find it interesting to note that in my original mentioning of said delicious foodlike object, it was not intentionally implicative of euphemisming. which is maybe odd, because it is sort of obvious really.
[not that there'd be anything wrong with it if i had been intentionally euphemisming just that i thought it was interesting--to me at least--that this had not been intentional and only became obvious to me somewhat afterwards]

A Spell For Creation - Kathleen Raine
Within the flower there lies a seed,
Within the seed there springs a tree,
Within the tree there spreads a wood.

In the wood there burns a fire,
And in the fire there melts a stone,
Within the stone a ring of iron.

Within the ring there lies an O,
Within the O there looks an eye,
In the eye there swims a sea,

And in the sea reflected sky,
And in the sky there shines the sun,
Within the sun a bird of gold.

Within the bird there beats a heart,
And from the heart there flows a song,
And in the song there sings a word.

In the word there speaks a world,
A world of joy, a world of grief,
From joy and grief there springs my love.

Oh love, my love, there springs a world,
And on the world there shines a sun,
And in the sun there burns a fire,

Within the fire consumes my heart,
And in my heart there beats a bird,
And in the bird there wakes an eye,

Within the eye, earth, sea and sky,
Earth, sky and sea within an O
Lie like the seed within the flower.

trade center? I don't know the context.
regardless, I hadn't read the wiki on tigers and it is fascinating. OE's probly seen it.

Edit to say: who the fuck is putting tigers in cages anyway? If I could curse someone, they'd be it.
