Nice,
you're there.
Good to know, think of you now and then.

Passing brethren in the night, moonlit paths criss-crossing under old firs
Never know where one will be by the morning
Set aside, a moment here and there
Sitting by the seaside
Listening to the freezing wake
Cold ground under snow
Yet I take, all I have - and never fear but for a while, then remember
How little it all is

yep. OP ED is fine. just been very busy.

my daughter was born in september. i now find that she has a tendency to render anything else i was considering spending time on, well, irrelevant, and also often somewhat boring by comparison.

all kinds of other things have happened as well, and i've been moving from place to place, hopefully done with that soon, but i want her environment to be less ghettofied than what i've been used to before.

you certainly haven't seen the last of me. none of you fuckers are even close to that lucky.

Yeah, they tend to have that effect. It's awesome, isn't it? :lovehearts:

Ha ha. That is the best news I've heard all year. You may never "sleep in" again.

ah. well so far its much less difficult than a lot of the things i used to waste all of my time doing.

like surfing the internet for depressing bits of information.

she likes cats, red meat, and David Bowie.
(she's certainly mine)

moving was extremely tiresome.
now that this is all finished i'd imagine i'll be finding my way online more often. especially as this is the slower season for my work. gives me something to do when she is napping. which is always.

Nice.

I'm having the busy season, here.
And summer is just getting started, its getting greener every day out. Which is nice, it was a pretty snowy and cold winter... ride as much as I can. Gonna take some pics for you all when I'm out and about...

sorry folks.

OP ED has been busier than a D.C. whore during an election cycle.

this is what i've been doing, mostly:

[that is my daughter]

[this is the only picture i will post of her]

[my friend made the hat for her]

[she has been raised on an extremely healthy diet of whole grains, fresh raw fruit and veggies, all-organic cage-free goat's blood, and bourbon, from canada]

[and that's just for breakfast]

and that's not entirely true. really, i've been on vacation since friday at noon, but it didn't officially start until yesterday when i started getting paid not to show up. which reminds me a lot of high school.

i don't have to go back to work until after memorial day, or maybe i'll get another day off if i consent to joining my manager/scheduler's MTG friday night squad. i'd have to get my cards in order.

the nice thing about having a fellow ultragreek as one of my bosses is being allowed to take half friday and all saturday off, not because they linked my vacation, which was just bonus, but because that way i could go to Motor City Comic Con.

which btw, was a million times more crowded than i've ever seen it. we got there an hour before they openened to advance ticket holders and we waited two hours just to get inside. the line went all the way back to a part of the parking lot i'd never known existed. that was awful. but it was worth it.

although meeting Stan [CIA DISNEY] Lee requires connections with Demons in Higher Places than OP ED has access to and/or can afford to contact.

it was worth it mostly because i got to go with a true professional.

OP ED's wife is fluent in Huttese. She's been to more conventions that i have. she attacks their schedule with a map and a plan and gets everything done with lots of time to browse. i have a picture of her with Walter Koenig, which has been a fantasy of mine since i first met her, although in my head there was significantly less clothing involved.

got my Chernobog print from Fantasia signed. met a bunch of cool people. the wife also made it easier by approaching all the supernerds in costume and asking them for their photos. which is awesome because about half of them were babes.
