This book contains the results and the story of the Extreme Abuse Survey, and chapters from twenty six contributors on different aspects of this contentious topic. Each chapter is really a stand alone essay, so there is a wide range of studies, and inevitably, some limitations due to space of the detail with which each aspect is treated.

To single out just one of these contributions, chapter 11 deals with the experience of a serving Scotland Yard officer whose brief was to make with colleagues, a report on r.a. criminal activity, and, the squashing of that report, in favour of the conclusions of the La Fontaine report. (which post Jersey, look increasingly lame)

I've picked that chapter because it provides a focus on the central issue of r.a. , namely hiding by authorities of the inconvenient facts.
