Some very handy tips there, especially as the Web grows ever more gigantic and ever harder to navigate.

Here's some more fun Google searches for the evil hackers.

The most fun is finding a web-camera with motor control. I found one mounted above the entrance to a hotel once. Someone is walking by - the camera follows them. They turn around - the camera stops. Repeat. :)
I've also seen the inside of labs and a submarine dock this way.

Best ever: "-.com" consistently improves my results and accelerates meaningful novelty when added to any given search string.

Sure, if your name happens to be Stephen Wolfram.

Technically WolframAlpha is not a search engine, but a computation engine. It doesn't index the web or do any search. All the data it uses comes from data sets that have been added specifically to WolframAlpha. Among other things it's used to compute answers for Apple Siri.
