Christian Drosten: coconspirator with Fauci/Collins/Farrar; he's Germany's Dr. Fauci,; he's a Lancet letter signer; and he created the world's first big PCR test for Covid

Christian Drosten, a German virologist and wunderkind, signed the (lab origin coverup) Lancet letter, and designed the PCR test for Covid that has been touted by the WHO and used around the world.  His PCR test has been challenged by European scientists and physicians.  His PhD is said by some to have been faked.
How, then, did he become a full professor at the University of Bonn and, at 35, head of the Institute of Virology at Charite Hospital?
Drosten, from Germany, was pulled in on the coverup. Was this because his PCR test was already part of an unsavory conspiracy?  He was trusted, and he had a role. We don't know what it is, yet.
My guess is that during the weekend of February 1, the Lancet correspondence, the Nature Medicine correspondence and the National Academy of Sciences letter were planned together as the solution to the coverup by this small cabal, who had probably already proved themselves to the big guys.  Perhaps they had a disreputable history together, in which the code of Omerta already functioned.
In 2020, Drosten became the face of Covid in Germany in the same way Fauci became the face of the pandemic in the US.  According to an April 2020 puff piece in Science magazine,

Drosten’s podcast has given him real influence, says Marcel Fratzscher, head of DIW Berlin, an economic research institute. “At this point, if Drosten says it is too early [to open up], that carries as much weight as Merkel saying it.”
The Science article also said,

"But Drosten wants his research to save lives. Large cardboard boxes in his office hold supplies of two medicines waiting to be tried in the clinic. One is camostat mesylate, a pancreatitis drug approved in Japan that Drosten and others found can prevent both SARS-CoV and SARS-CoV-2 from entering cells. The other drug is niclosamide, used to treat tapeworms and other parasites. In a paper posted on the preprint server bioRxiv this month, Drosten’s colleague Marcel Müller showed that SARS-CoV-2 interferes with the cellular recycling process called autophagy. It’s unclear how exactly that benefits the virus, but niclosamide counters the interference. Treatment with the compound reduced SARS-CoV-2’s growth in cell culture by 70%, the authors write. Drosten hopes to start to enroll patients soon in a trial to test a combination of the two drugs."
This paragraph enables me to transition to a very important point that I have not seen anyone else write about.  I am talking about the tremendous benefit conveyed by the pandemic to the drug research enterprise. Normally it costs many millions of dollars to test one drug--perhaps over a billion if it is a new chemical entity.
But, as long as you can pretend that there are no effective drugs to treat Covid, you can keep testing drugs on human beings. That is why the Recovery and Solidarity trials continue to enroll hapless subjects, instead of treating them with drugs that actually cure the disease.
Here is Drosten, with cartons of two old drugs he wants to test in humans, one of which was only 70% effective at killing virus in the lab.  Why not use a drug like ivermectin that is practically 100% effective at killing virus? It would be both unethical and very expensive to test drugs outside the pandemic if it were admitted that a Covid treatment already existed.
But if you pretend there are no effective treatments, the treatment trials for Covid turn into charity affairs.  Very little data are collected, so the investigators cannot be shown to have harmed the patients. But sufficient data are collected for a future regulatory review.
I wrote about this with respect to the Solidarity trial in my long article on the hydroxychloroquine false narrative. Countries donate tax dollars, and charitable institutions donate, and a variety of drugs can be tested.  It doesn't seem to matter that almost all fail to cure the patient.  The failures keep the pandemic fear going. Testing is likely being done to gather human data for possible future uses of these drugs, perhaps for a completely different purpose. Drug companies own most of the patents.
On the other hand, there also may be a role for these trials as a delaying action... slow-rolling a response until vaccines or whatever are available.
So how do these drug trials help the pandemic purveyors?

* They keep the public terrified over the lack of a cure
* They delay the end of the pandemic
* They test drugs for the pharmaceutical industry and its minions at taxpayer expense
* The trials are conducted more rapidly than normal, because a large number of centers enroll patients, who agree to be experimental subjects because they think they are generating knowledge for the good of humanity
* Probably there are enormous kickbacks involved

The wunderkind Drosten appears to be in the thick of the coverup.  Had a Covid cure been acknowledged, he would have lost the opportunity to do the drug trials on sick human guinea pigs.

Chris Martenson has more emails that help fill in details of the Fauci/Farrar/Collins coverup of lab origin

I will fill in more details on his video later.  He makes clear, with a series of emails, that the three primary conspirators pulled in the scientists to create the fake science on which the natural origin claim was based.  Martenson also expands the cast of characters.
Why was Farrar so involved in this cleanup?  Had he too funded the GOF research?  Why was Patrick Vallance pulled in, representing the UK government and probably GSK?  Why was Ron Fourchier involved, the Dutch scientist who had passaged bird flu to make it transmissible by air?  Marion Koopmans, who recently got a generous grant, was a member of the WHO team that "investigated" the origin of the outbreak in Wuhan. Here is evidence of Koopmans changing her story.  She and Fourchier are both at Erasmus.  Why were these two Dutch scientists brought into the coverup?
I'm still investigating.  Send me what you find, for attribution or not.  Thanks!

Singapore doctors call to HALT Covid vaccination of teens as unexplained death of 13yo boy probed in US

A group of medics have penned an “urgent open letter” to Singapore’s expert committee on Covid-19 vaccination, calling for the inoculation of youths to be ceased until the US CDC clarifies why a teenage jab recipient died.
Written on “on behalf of many concerned pediatricians, primary care physicians, specialists, surgeons and GPs” and signed by a number of Singaporean medical professionals, the letter was posted on Facebook on Saturday. Its authors urged the authorities to “consider a short delay” in vaccinating youths with messenger ribonucleic acid (mRNA) jabs in view of the recent incident in the US.
The medics who signed the letter argued that that the CDC should be given “a few weeks to produce robust and convincing data” on the teen’s death and the possibility of a link to the inoculation. They insist the issue is urgent because Singapore is pursuing “one of the most aggressive” mRNA programs in the world, in which at least 200,000 teenage boys are expected to be vaccinated.
“Certainly, we do not want to see any more suspected vaccine-related deaths in any young persons in the prime of their life,” the letter said.
As concerns spread, Singaporean parents have also launched a petition, asking the authorities of the island city-state to suspend the vaccination of those under 30, especially school kids from 12 to 15 years of age, until the CDC probe is complete. It has so far been signed by some 2,000 people.

A deeper analysis of data presented By CDC to ACIP to hide huge rates of children's myocarditis and gain approval of childhood Covid vaccinations

Tricks used by CDC to minimize vaccine injury rates
CDC has become very enamoured of the VAERS database for Covid shots.  This is very curious, because CDC used to claim this database was only good for identifying signals, and not for calculating the rates of adverse vaccine reactions.  I have previously cited the CDC's own VAERS website, which says you cannot calculate adverse event rates using VAERS (because of the high but unknown extent of underreporting).
VAERS is a 30 year old federal vaccine safety surveillance system.  It collects data supplied voluntarily by patients, doctors, and relatives regarding adverse events occurring after vaccinations.
CDC created the V-Safe system as a new way to collect adverse event data on Covid vaccines.  V-safe has enrolled several million people receiving Covid vaccinations, who receive text messages asking them to report certain adverse events. For some reason, CDC does not collect the answers directly, but instead the reports go to the Oracle company.  Oracle aggregates the data and sends the results weekly to CDC.
Inexplicably, CDC instructed Oracle to identify serious adverse events in the reports it receives, and send them to VAERS. This causes the serious V-Safe reports to be doubly reported.  Taking data reported to one database and adding it to a different database seems to me to serve the purpose of confusing the statistical analysis of the data, and making it impossible to estimate how the reporting rate to VAERS compares with the actual occurrence rate of adverse events, and with previous VAERS reporting rates.
Past studies of VAERS underreporting (prior to the V-Safe additions) have estimated that only between 1 in 13 and 1 in 100 adverse events gets reported to the system. See:
https://childrenshealthdefense.org/defe ... ine-vaers/
But now CDC suddenly claims that "VAERS is the nation’s early warning system for vaccine safety," according to slides 9 and 15 of CDC's presentation.  The identical slide seems to have been repeated for emphasis in the presentation to CDC's Advisory Committee for Immunization Practices by CDC's Tom Shimabukuro on June 23.
The missing CDC databases
While VAERS is useful, but should not

The Delta Helter Skelter. When Dire Delta is the excuse for new lockdowns and vaccine mandates, but the truth keeps dribbling out. Today more news from Israel

'Helter-skelter' means 'in chaotic and disorderly haste'.
It seems a good descriptor of how public health mouthpieces are dealing with the facts oozing out of the public health muck regarding the Delta variant. Considering their strategy has been to use Delta to impose ever more harsh and unjustifiable Great Reset measures.  Not to mention vaccine mandates.  But now things look a lot worse than they did in that CDC slide deck.  Check out these official graphs from Israel:  not only are cases rising equally in the vaccinated as the unvaccinated, but the vaccinated are not being spared severe illness, as claimed by our plucky CDC director.
If nearly all the elderly and high risk Israelis have been vaccinated, then there would be some benefit of vaccination in warding off severe illness... but still, 2/3 of those with severe illness have been doubly vaccinated.
How can you spin this into a justification for vaccine mandates?  You can't. And unless the authorities can prove there is n

A common cold literature review mentions the RSV vaccine trial, Vit C, Echinacea and zinc

From a 2004 review of the common cold.  This paper says 10-15% of colds are due to coronaviruses.  Some suggest a higher percentage.  It can be useful to read literature that is untainted by current political considerations.
The development of an RSV vaccine has been hampered by the experience with formalin-inactivated whole RSV vaccine in the 1960s, as it caused 80% of RSV vaccinees to become hospitalised compared with 5% of controls, as well as two fatalities [80]. Current major research has focused on a prophylaxis using a humanised mouse monoclonal antibody, Palizivumab, which has been shown to reduce the rate of RSV-associated hospitalisation in premature infants [81]. However, its use on a wider population will require further research.
There is currently no licensed Parainfluenza vaccine to date. The

Outstanding new find from a twitter contact who is so reliable I should start sending them money: a PDF narrative (backup link) from Karen A. Doherty of the Conference for Catholic Lesbians. This also went up on her blog Nihil Obsat, and they're available as separate posts there. I'm going back through it now to parse it more finely, but it's largely a synthesis of her personal experiences in NYC and the sources here, mixed with some meticulous sleuthing of her own.

Ed Murphy is not a relation, but he’s an interesting story in my life. Ed was an integral figure in the “Chickens and the Bulls” homosexual blackmail scandal in the mid-1960s. He was probably involved in a series of blackmail schemes run by the Mob out of the Stonewall Inn in New York as well. He stole, and threatened and blackmailed most of his life. He got away with it, and wound up a gay liberation hero. Ed is mostly forgotten now, but I will never forget him. I still can’t decide if he was a bad man who did some good things; or a good man who did some very bad things. I sensed goodness in him, and he was good to me; but the other part of him, which I can’t forget or reconcile, is the terror and misery he caused hundreds of gay men and their families.

Stopping Violence Over Prison Phone Time? There’s an App for That.
While Corey Devon Arthur was quarantining, people in the unit got tablets equipped with telephone apps. “If we all had the option to use a phone app, the value of violence would plunge,” he writes.

A modest proposal to ease prison violence. There aren’t enough telephones in prisons, and there are too many people vying to use them at any given time. The fights that erupt over these bottlenecks threaten the safety of both the incarcerated and the prison staff. Corey Devon Arthur, incarcerated at the Fishkill Correctional Facility in New York, has a solution to the eternal problem: Give prisoners their own computer tablets with phone access. Bad idea, prison officials told him earlier this year. Phone tablets would require Internet capability throughout penitentiaries, and that would cost more money than they are willing to spend. By Daniel Hopsicker -
September 7, 2021
Every year as September 11 approaches, I think, “This is the year it doesn’t matter so much anymore.”  Sad to say, I’m not there yet.

This interview is important because it exposes critical, hidden pieces of the 9/11 puzzle that show the scope of the criminality involved as well as the level of individuals involved in the whole operation. https://www.bitchute.com/video/jgqRDkqYnDkp/

Blurb for the show:
EXPOSING FLORIDA’S 9/11 CRIME SCENE AND HIJACKER MOHAMED ATTA’S US GOVERNMENT CONNECTIONS Investigative reporter Daniel Hopsicker talks about his long-ignored book, WELCOME TO TERRORLAND: MOHAMED ATTA AND THE 9/11 COVER-UP IN FLORIDA, in which a plethora of first-hand sources connect flight schools in Florida with the 9/11 terrorists and CIA drug-dealing, talk about the FBI intimidating sources to keep quiet, including Atta’s American girlfriend, and describe how, shortly after 9/11, the FBI grabbed local law enforcement files on pre-9/11 activities and put them on military plane flown out of Florida accompanied by Florida governor Jeb Bush.

Tidbits from the Brown School of Public Health, via CNN

From Ashish Jha's right hand girl, associate dean of the Brown School of Public Health:

"The Delta variant is clearly more transmissible, but somehow, six months after its identification, we still don't know whether it's inherently more dangerous, particularly for children. The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is not consistently tracking the many so-called "breakthrough" infections that don't require hospitalization, so we are left guessing how well the vaccines protect from mild and asymptomatic infection...
No matter who you are or where you are, take a minute to think about the basics of air movement and filtration. Our grandparents used to open the windows to clear out the germs. It's time for us to do the same. When you're in a building, make sure the HVAC is turned on... [Why did it take so long to get this simple advice, which I talked about more than a year ago?--Nass]

Australia restricts ivermectin prescribing for Covid. Same week it becomes impossible to get it dispensed here. Coincidence?

https://www.tga.gov.au/media-release/ne ... n-covid-19
New restrictions on prescribing ivermectin for COVID-19
10 September 2021
Today, the TGA, acting on the advice of the Advisory Committee for Medicines Scheduling, has placed new restrictions on the prescribing of oral ivermectin. General practitioners are now only able to prescribe ivermectin for TGA-approved conditions (indications) - scabies and certain parasitic infections. Certain specialists including infectious disease physicians, dermatologists, gastroenterologists and hepatologists (liver disease specialists) will be permitted to prescribe ivermectin for other unapproved indications if they believe it is appropriate for a particular patient.
These changes have been introduced because of concerns with the prescribing of oral ivermectin for the claimed prevention or treatment of COVID-19. Ivermectin is not approved for use in COVID-19 in Australia or in other developed countries, and its use by the general public for COVID-19 is currently strongly discouraged by the National COVID Clinical Evidence Taskforce, the World Health Organisation and the US Food and Drug Administration.
Firstly, there are a number of significant public health risks associated with taking ivermectin in an attempt to prevent COVID-19 infection rather than getting vaccinated. Individuals who believe that they are protected from infection by taking ivermectin may choose not to get tested or to seek medical care if they experience symptoms. Doing so has the potential to spread the risk of COVID-19 infection throughout the community.
Secondly, the doses of ivermectin that are being advocated for use in unreliable social media posts and other sources for COVID-19 are significantly higher than those approved and found safe for scabies or parasite treatment. These higher doses can be associated with serious adverse effects, including severe nausea, vomiting, dizziness, neurological effects such as dizziness, seizures and coma.
Finally, there has been a 3-4-fold increased dispensing of ivermectin prescriptions in recent months, leading to national and local shortages for those who need the medicine for scabies and parasite infections. It is believed that this is due to recent prescribing and dispensing for unapproved uses, such as COVID-19.  Such shortages can disproportionately impact vulnerable people, including those in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
There is only one TGA approved oral ivermectin product, Stromectol ivermectin 3mg tablet blister pack which is indicated for the treatment of river blindness (onchocerciasis), threadworm of the intestines (intestinal strongyloidiasis) and scabies.

All medical practitioners can continue to prescribe oral ivermectin for the approved indications. However, prescribing of oral ivermectin for indications that are not approved is now limited to certain specialists.

I am not an army of one. Everybody needs to refuse to go along with criminal government policies

I have gotten a zillion phone calls in the last 2 days about ivermectin, and I have stopped answering the phone.  No one can get their prescriptions filled.  People are frustrated, angry and scared.
Well, so am I.  I am REALLY frustrated, angry and scared.  I have warned people since the beginning of 2021 that this might happen.  Why didn't people get the medicine before now?  Why did they wait till it became almost unobtainable?  I have been risking my career to prescribe it, and now they want me to dispense it, too?  I didn't go to pharmacy school, I don't have a pharmacy license.  All I can do is write scripts.
I charged $60 for a visit to evaluate patients and if appropriate prescribe the drug, and I have told these patients I would help treat them for free, by phone, if they got Covid.
And now they are calling me up to inquire about whether I will be prepared to give them monoclonal antibodies, and what else I might be prescribing during this free future care?  I explained to two people today that I would recommend or prescribe care based on their symptoms and severity.  But now I am done explaining.  I am worn out.  Why aren't you demanding that your regular doctors prescribe these medications?  Why aren't you complaining in public?
I feel like I have given everything I had to this effort, but some people are demanding even more from me.  Why don't they instead pick up the phone to berate their elected representatives for allowing taxpayer dollars to CONTINUE TO PAY FOR GAIN OF FUNCTION RESEARCH, or berate them for federal agencies (in cahoots with industry and the "healthcare" system) stopping the dispensing of effective drugs for Covid, and punishing doctors who prescribe them?
Come on, guys!  I have been doing the heavy lifting since this pandemic started.  I have given it my all.  And now ivermectin has been taken away, 18 months after hydroxychloroquine was taken away. Weren't you paying attention?
Simultaneously, dangerous vaccines are being forced on us with an iron hand.  If we want a decent society, it is going to take millions of people working very hard to stop this.  I need some help!
Maybe the price of my care needs to be a letter to the editor?

The Informant: The FBI, the Ku Klux Klan, and the Murder of Viola Liuzzo
Gary May
This book reveals the untold story of the murder of Civil Rights worker Viola Liuzzo, shot to death by members of the violent Birmingham Ku Klux Klan at the end of Martin Luther King's historic Voting Rights March in 1965. The case drew national attention and was solved almost instantly because one of the Klansman present during the shooting was Gary Thomas Rowe, an undercover FBI informant. At the time, Rowe's information and subsequent testimony were heralded as a triumph of law enforcement, but his history of collaboration with both the Klan and the FBI was far more complex. Based on previously unexamined FBI and Justice Department records, the book demonstrates that in their ongoing efforts to protect Rowe's cover, the FBI knowingly became an accessory to some of the most grotesque crimes of the Civil Rights era—including a vicious attack on the Freedom Riders and perhaps even the bombing of the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church. The story of a renegade informant and an intelligence system ill-prepared to deal with threats from within, it offers a cautionary tale about what can happen when secret police power goes unchecked.

Fauci's COVID origins coverup spook, Andrew Rambaut, has resurfaced to misdirect us about the origins of money pox

Andrew Rambaut, did you really think you would get away with this?
Andrew Rambaut (pronounced Rambo—and like Rambo, he is still in the ring, fighting for the globalists, when he should have taken his toys and slunk away long ago—after being beaten up as one of the stooges who produced the fake Nature Medicine paper on COVID’s origins) has long been associated with a group of virology spooks in Tony Fauci and Jeremy Farrar’s network. The field of evolutionary biology is supposed to tell you where new viruses have come from. But of course, it has been kidnapped to provide specious explanations when the biowarriors need to try and explain their concoctions as having natural origins.
Rambaut was also used to dispute the origins of HIV (as described in my friend Ed Hooper’s book The River) while teamed up with Eddie Holmes, another Fauci flunkie, more than 20 years ago.
Republican members of Congress want to know what Fauci and his henchmen were up to when they concocted a fake natural origin for COVID, as revealed in the Fauci emails:
https://roy.house.gov/media/press-relea ... uci-emails
Rambaut was one of the 5 authors of that paper, and the paper was highly effective for a bit over one year at keeping a lid on COVID’s lab origin. As the members of Congress wrote:

And results in animals usually fail to predict results in humans
The WHO on July 6 pointed out that if the vaccines get used--and of course they were already being used internationally--then we must immediately collect data to learn whether they actually work.
Sadly, what WHO failed to mention, is that we need to

FBI officials: No credible threats to US election systems ahead of midterms

The Cincinnati Bell-FBI scandal:  Leonard Gates, a Cincinnati Bell employee for 23 years, testified that in the late 1970's and 80's, the FBI assisted telephone companies with hacking into mainframe election computers in cities across the country. He spoke with agents from both the DOJ (U.S. Attorney Kathleen M. Brinkman) and FBI (Agent Love), but to his knowledge, neither agency took further action.  Leonard Gates 1987Deposition, plus 1985 Background Material from Jim Condit, Jr. //Pandora's Black Box & http://www.votefraud.org/expert_strunk_report.htm (contains case number)
* Gates testified, P. 28, "He (Gates's supervisor, Mr. Jim West,) said the programming was obtained out of California, and that the programming had been obtained through the FBI, and all this kind of stuff, and that was about it."
* Page 34 excerpt: "And I knew that we did do certain things under certain court direction, under certain court orders, and I just didn't see where they would have a court order to get into that, and I expressed my concern to Mr. Dugan (President of Cincinnati Bell).  Mr. Dugan said it was a very gray area, and that they were into like New York and Atlanta, Georgia, and to the other computers, you know.  This was just small compared to what was going on."
* Page 39, "...and I said, "Well, do you (Mr.Fedrich, vice president of Cincinnati Bell) have a blanket court order on this or what?"  And he kind of weasel-worded me, to be honest with you.  He said "Well, our relationship with the FBI is very, very close."
Excerpt from Nov 1996, Pandora's Black Box by Philip M. O’Halloran of Relevance, The Cincinnati Election Wiretapping Scandal:
Lewis and other skeptics of the vote-fixing scenario like to insist that there has never been any evidence of a "conspiracy" to fix elections by computer. But then, most of those we interviewed on both sides of the issue had never heard of the case of Leonard Gates of Cincinnati, Ohio. An employee of the Cincinnati Bell telephone company, Gates was watching a local t.v. news story, in which a Cincinnati man named Jim Condit was charging that the election system was vulnerable to vote fraud in the Hamilton county election process.
He based his charges on his experience as a candidate for city council in 1979, when, after an election night computer crash, Condit and seven other "feisty challengers" had suddenly "fallen to the very bottom of the heap" of 26 candidates. Gates called the station and later contacted Mr. Condit, telling him he knew firsthand how his votes were robbed. They met and shared information and ultimately Gates testified in Condit’s Cincinnatus PAC (political action committee) lawsuit against the Hamilton County Board of Elections.
The suit had earlier been decided against the plaintiffs and Gates took the stand during the appeal. He swore under oath that he was ordered by his Cincinnati Bell superiors to wiretap the election headquarters’ phones lines to provide a link-up between the county’s vote-counting computers and parties unknown on another phone line somewhere in California.
The following are excerpts from the Cincinnati Post of October, 30th, 1987:
Cincinnati Bell security supervisors ordered wire-taps installed on county computers before elections in the late 1970s and early 1980s that could have allowed vote totals to be altered, a former Bell employee says in a sworn court document.
Leonard Gates, a 23-year Cincinnati Bell employee until he was fired in 1986, claims in a deposition filed Thursday in Hamilton County Common Pleas Court to have installed the wire-taps. Cincinnati Bell officials denied Gates’ allegations that are part of a six-year-old civil suit that contends the elections computer is subject o manipulation and fraud.
Gates claims a security supervisor for the telephone company told him in 1979 that the firm had obtained a computer program through the FBI that gave it access to the county computer used to count votes. [Emphasis added].
The FBI refused comment and Cincinnati Bell spokesmen vehemently denied the allegations, claiming Gates was a "disgruntled ex-employee", yet, according to Condit, the company ultimately admitted that one of its vans was involved in the wiretapping, although it claimed they were commandeered without the company’s knowledge. The Post continued:
In the deposition, Gates claims he first installed a wire-tap on a telephone line to the county computers before the 1977 election at the instruction of James West, a Bell security supervisor.
Gates contends both West and Peter Gabor, security director, told him to install wire-taps in subsequent elections. Both men declined comment Thursday.
In the 1979 election, which is the focus of the deposition – Gates said he received instructions in the mail from West about installing wire-taps on county computers in the County Administration Building at Court and Main streets.
The wire-taps were installed on the eve of the election at Cincinnati Bell’s switching control center at Seventh and Elm Streets and terminated in a conference room in the building, Gates alleges.
In the deposition, Gates described in great technical detail installation of the wire-taps.
At about 8:30 p.m. on election day – Nov. 6, 1979 – Gates said he was called by West and told something had gone wrong, causing the elections computer to malfunction. At West’s instructions, Gates said he removed the taps.
The elections computer shutdown for two hours on election evening due to what was believed to be a power failure, Condit Sr. has said.
Gates said West told him they "had the ability to actually alter what was being done with the votes."
Gates said West told him the Board of elections did not know about the taps and that the computer program for the elections computer "was obtained out of California, and that the programming had been obtained through the FBI..."
Shortly after the 1979 election, Gates said he met with the late Richard Dugan, former Cincinnati Bell president, to express his concerns that the wire-taps were done without a court order.
"Mr. Dugan said it was a very gray area... This was just small compared to what was going on. He told me just, if I had a problem, to talk to him and everything would be okay, but everything was under control," Gates said [Emphasis added].
[Editor’s Note: This scandal’s alleged FBI connection raises the possibility of U.S. law enforcement and/or intelligence involvement in electronic vote-rigging.]
Another Cincinnati Bell employee, named Bob Draise, admitted to being involved in a second phase of the illegal operation, which involved wiretapping several prominent Cincinnati political figures including a crusader against pornography named Keating and the Hamilton County commissioner, Allen Paul.
Jim Condit told Relevance that, as a result of the ensuing scandal, Draise was convicted and five Cincinnati police officers, who were allegedly involved in the wiretapping operation, abruptly resigned. The alleged involvement of the FBI was never pursued and the Bureau itself did not follow up on the Gates allegations. In spite of all the evidence, the appeal by the plaintiff failed and the issue was laid
