I believe he was in town for a Vintage car weekend as WG is a racing town, Used to have the Grand Prix now the big one is NASCAR- anyways- my buddies band finished playing and this familiar looking guy started talking to them, next thing you know he's belting out Back in Black with my best bud on drums!!
At the time I was not a big AC/DC fan, but it was an amazing experience. especially for my drummer friend.
I love them now, and consider B in B their best post Bon album and top 5 overall.
By the way, how doe you pronounce Crowley, HoL?

....well Johnson was singing in a pretty unknown group called Goldie when he gets a phone call out of the blue saying "...hi this is ACDC here ...fancy being our new singer..." ( these days they'd make a tv talent show out of it ) nice to know success hasn't made him lose touch with the grass-roots grafters playing the pubs and clubs ... ( For those about to Rock's pretty damn good tbh )

FYI - its Crow as in big black bird ..not Crow as in its very crowded in this bar..

not at all....actually I think I prefer the latter pronounication - I reckon that is how most poeple read it...I was disappointed when I realised years after reading LotR that Sauron wasn't pronounced as in dinosaur....( ...or Smaug as in smorgasbord...)

I listen to a lot of heavy metal, but for some odd reason, I just couldn't get into Black Sabbath. The same with Led Zeppelin. Whenever people would talk with reverence about Black Sabbath I would be like : "Meh".
Born we are the same, within the silence, indifference be Thy name
Torn we walk alone, we sleep in silent shades
The grandeur fades, the meaning never known- 'Born' Nevermore

they probably invented every metal riff ever, but I don't think of them as metal really. Stoner rock for sure.

Just dropped in from the Coffee thread, and wanted to report (although, honestly, my reason for "why" does escape me...) that as I was getting a cup of coffee early this morning, I could have sworn I saw Ozzy Osbourne walk through the door at the AmPm.

I did a double-take.

And when I realized that the "Prince of Darkness" was a woman, it sort of freaked me out.
