You know what? I think I did just hear a whisper, but then it was gone again as quickly as it came.

The ban blade was sharpened, and at least we got to see one head fall, eh?

Sorry I just dropped out like that. i often just go offline for the sake of it, but this time my computer died back at the start of December.... I'm in town at Nimbin ctc today so I have access to a computer, and I'll be in again in 1 week so i'll catch up properly then.

Nimbin is the weed capital of australia, spaced-out hippies emerge from 1960s vortexes in the park and mushrooms grow wild in the surrounding fields ...

i wonder what joe is up to there?

Haha. Yeah, what on earth would make him want to go to a place like that? :jumping:

Y'know though, serious for a moment, I'm going to miss 8-bit. I know he's not banned or disappeared, as such, but still.

I miss 8-bit. We all do, I know, but I didn't get to post on his goodbye thread, so I want to say it here on a thread that (I hope) he'll be keeping an eye on. I'm tempted to post it in a couple of threads so he'll notice, but that'd be stupid. If a mod reads this, and can convey my regards to 8-bit, I would ask them to do so.

Man, I remember when I first joined, sitting up all night drunk as a lord, talking my usual absolute crap to 8-bit and Penguin in particular - and they knew what I was talking about! They understood it! That doesn't happen all that often, at least not for me. I don't know if they had as good a time as I did, but I know that I did. And it was because of 8-bit - (and Penguin, but he's still here, so fuck him :D ).

If it wasn't for 8-bit, I never would've heard of Logan Furniture. Evil doesn't get any more banal than that. But it wasn't really his info or his politics or his persistence I liked. It was him. He made me laugh, and he was cool, and i want him back.

So that's my inappropriate, slightly off-topic feelings about 8-bit. I conjure thee to make sure he knows of them, O Admin.

His account is still active, Ahab, so if you send him a pm, he'll likely receive a notification via email. Nice eulogy, in any case.

Jumping on a computer to touch base here actually...

Nimbin is my local town, well one of them (i live halfway between nimbin and kyogle), its named after the little hairy men that live inside the the mountains round here, and especially Nimbin Rocks. Its a great town, if the coppers aren't cracking down when you visit you can't get out of your car before someones asking "Buds mate? Bush or Hyge?".

Cheers tho guys. (Especially pere ... I'm so glad you like that song.)

Anyway here's to 8bit if hes really gone.

And to EiAe, who I missed by a few days damnit.

Mr. Walker.

I'd toast you but I know you will be back sure as shit on flies. I hope someone is paying you to waste your time like that. You should really just give it up, it's really pretty stupid, no one is falling for it.
