I found it to be a fun, exciting, and informative thread, full of twists and turns, heroes and villains (me), and a big, big finish at the end. It's unfortunate that AlicetheKurious and compared2what? appear to have both apparently canceled their accounts here as a result of the fracas. I guess I should have locked the unholy thing when I wanted to, around page ten, but Alice asked me to refrain and not long after that it was fucking on. C'est la guerre.

As to eyeno, well, I doubt sincerely that he is gone from the membership rolls.

Compared2what cancelled her account, too? I'd very much hoped that she was just taking a breather.

I am certain of that.

How the hell can you characterize it this way when it means the departure of two of this board's best? Which Alice absolutely was (any time the subject was anything in the world other than Israel and the degree of its influence and perfidy). And what the hell am I to think of the departure of my favorite RI member of all. Plus they're the two women with the most posts between them. In short, THIS SUCKS and I hate that thread.

As for eyeno, now a footnote, it should have been busted months ago. I suppose we can't do "pre-troll" (like "pre-crime") but that guy was as obvious as they come, and kept getting off by pretending to be naive about the things he said and posted.

It was sarcasm, Jack. Or maybe a slight case of PTSD. But they've both walked out before. They'll either come back again or not. It was a confrontation that was bound to happen sooner or later, and anyone who was paying attention knows exactly why it took as long as it did to happen. The mods could have stopped it any time they wanted. They didn't want to.

Eyeno was either pretty damn stupid or pretended to be. Quite the creepy little fucker if you ask me. Always backing off with these fawning protestations of innocence. Yuck. A bad taste the whole time.

I hope they come back. maybe they will.

I've had some awesome fights with Alice. Not for years tho. If shes not back I'll miss her and ... I doubt I'll ever forget Alice. She changed the way I view somethings about the middle East. Not the obvious ones, that people might think, but still. And she warned us about the Egyptian Uprising years before it happened. Its a pity jerks like the poster formerly known as ..... get in and tweak peoples buttons and get associated with her. So here's to Alice. For all our aggro over some things she was a good mate.

C2W is similar. Haven't had the same fights tho. But she also changed the way I looked at the world and opened my eyes to things I'd never thought of. And still don't really know or get, but at least I know that.

I'm going to stick up for Eyeno and say that thought he was one of the most unusual and creative thinkers on the board. I feel fairly certain that if I were to sit down and have a beer with him, I would have come away with a fistful of novel ideas to think about.

I think you guys are wrong about the reason for him not taking responsibility for the sources and content of his posts. From my perspective, what was going on was a classic disagreement in strategy between introverted and extraverted intuitives.

As introverted intutives, think of all the crazy ideas that go through your head that never see the light of day ... you sift and sort through those ideas until you get something that makes some sense (with verified sources) before you put it out for public consumption.

So now imagine turning that inside out. Imagine that when those random ideas come into your head, you go right ahead and put them out to see what other people have to say about it and to find out what other related ideas are out there that you are unaware of. Its a completely different way of going about your information gathering.

So extraverted intuitives get called morons a lot! Because what comes out of their mouths tends to be off the wall, not politically correct, and not terribly well thought out. But when you understand what is happening in their heads, you will find a wealth of fascinating information and outside the box solutions to problems. To them nothing is sacred and nothing is completely impossible. The solution is "out there" somewhere. Their job is to go find it through interaction with their external environment and relationships.

Eyeno's meltdown was classic extraverted intuition. To boil it down, what he said was that you people are stuck in your constipated categories and refuse to get out of your heads and interact with the world as it is! In fact, that is the essential message extraverted intuitives have to offer the world.

Well, I could be wrong and eyeno could have been a troll. But its not the way I saw it.

Give me just one example of this, or lots if you have them, but one will suffice.

Do you agree with that assessment?

Give me just one example of this, or lots if you have them, but one will suffice.

For example the discussion of free / alternate energy possibilities. Even bringing up the possibility invites ridicule. For example some interaction we had on the peak oil thread. I was arguing for and he against ... he treated me with respect and responded to requests for clarification of his perspective. For example, his interest in dutchsinse (sp?) which was interesting and way outside the box. For example, his many comments on the validity of esoteric thinking which I found thought provoking. For example, his ongoing information on various possible herbal protections against radiation. For example, his valuable contributions on the "Evils of wheat" thread. I can go on if I go back through the archives.

Suffice it to say that I value these sorts of posts because they are outside of my normal field of view. You may not. You may think they are worthless drivel. That is your right. But I appreciated his outside the box thinking and posts and I wanted to take the opportunity to say it in case he happens to check in here in the future.

Do you agree with that assessment?

I added the remainder of my quote to your question (in bold).

All I can say is, of course I do! Wars are fought over constipated categories. People die because of constipated categories. We will drain the earth of all its resources because of constipated categories. Human beings will continue to call each other idiots because they don't abide by their own particular set of constipated categories.

What inevitably happens on a message board and in modern life is that the people with the tightest categories and the strongest belief in those categories dominate the proceedings. What extraverted intuition tells us is that there is more to life than raw intellect and emotional detachment (amongst other things) ... and that it is entirely possible to tear up the script and write a new story. That is not always a welcome message.

I just think the eyeno got a bad rap because his posts didn't meet certain important people's standards for quality. Instead of just letting him do his thing, some important posters thought they sussed out that eyeno was a shill and a fraud. Since the people doing the harassing were prominent and the mods did not object, the view was generally accepted. Eyeno became fair game on the board for whoever wanted to take pot shots at him.

I just happen to think those doing the sussing were wrong about him and I stated why in my post. And that is really about all I have to say. He's gone. It's over. If no one else misses his posts and his perspective that's fine. But this is the place to toast banned and disappeared posters and that's what I'm doing.

Ridicule? Actually what I recall is an inability on anyone's part to argue the scientific and technical merits of any proposed free/alternate energy technologies, theoretical or real. They were asked to discuss and refused. But your right that bringing up such topics invites the possibility of ridicule. We have some wits on the board that consider it a sport to take the blowhards down a notch. Big deal.

For example some interaction we had on the peak oil thread. I was arguing for and he against ... he treated me with respect and responded to requests for clarification of his perspective.

Look man, that's part of the game he plays. Don't you suppose a good troll will come dressed in sheep's clothing and seek to insinuate themselves into the confidence of members?

For example, his interest in dutchsinse (sp?) which was interesting and way outside the box.

Dude, that shit doesn't hold up under any scrutiny whatsoever. It's just stupid. Yes, it's way outside the box. It bears no semblence to reality at all. I like going slumming on occasion, but really....

For example, his many comments on the validity of esoteric thinking which I found thought provoking.

I won't belabor the point by asking you to dig up some quotes, but I'm certainly not going to go look for them myself.

For example, his ongoing information on various possible herbal protections against radiation. For example, his valuable contributions on the "Evils of wheat" thread.

I agree that it's not as though he never copied and pasted anything thought provoking or worthwhile.

I can go on if I go back through the archives.

Quotes would be best, but really you needn't bother because I'll almost certainly tear up whatever you find that he actually wrote himself. I read most of what he wrote here.

Suffice it to say that I value these sorts of posts because they are outside of my normal field of view. You may not. You may think they are worthless drivel. That is your right. But I appreciated his outside the box thinking and posts and I wanted to take the opportunity to say it in case he happens to check in here in the future.

Sure. Live and let live. You at least seem earnest to me and that's all that matters as far as I'm concerned.

I added the remainder of my quote to your question (in bold).

OK. Doesn't really alter anything, which is why I left it off.

I'm interested in knowing whether you agree with this assessment:

To boil it down, what he said was that you people are stuck in your constipated categories and refuse to get out of your heads and interact with the world as it is!

or not. Not whether that is also "the essential message extraverted intuitives have to offer the world".

All I can say is, of course I do! Wars are fought over constipated categories. People die because of constipated categories. We will drain the earth of all its resources because of constipated categories. Human beings will continue to call each other idiots because they don't abide by their own particular set of constipated categories.

To boil it down, what he said was that you people are stuck in your constipated categories and refuse to get out of your heads and interact with the world as it is!

So, referring to the diverse RI message board community as "you people" is not an ironically oversimplified categorization?

And what is "the world as it is"?

What inevitably happens on a message board and in modern life is that the people with the tightest categories and the strongest belief in those categories dominate the proceedings.

I cannot make sense of this until I know what you mean by proceedings.

What extraverted intuition tells us is that there is more to life than raw intellect and emotional detachment (amongst other things) ... and that it is entirely possible to tear up the script and write a new story. That is not always a welcome message.

I agree that the central purpose in a noble life is to know thyself. In order to do that you have to deconstruct your past and redefine everything you were taught. (this is at least uncomfortable and if you haven't done this work then yes, it might be an "unwelcome" message) Then you can approach the big epistemological questions from an authentic perspective. Holding out eyeno as an examplar of daring, authentic, outside the box thinking is... well.... just naive. I'm sorry if that upsets. I really am.

Did you really read much of what eyeno actually wrote?

Like in this thread:

viewtopic.php?f=8&t=34135&start=1140

or this gem:

eyeno wrote:This is only complicated for those that do not pay attention, or pay with their attention, or intentionally seek to complicate the situation., and those that have no clue. Which of course includes just about everybody except a few astute RI readers.

Ever heard of the "Holy Land" where Jesus came from? Why, pray tell, do you think, that this god forsaken piece of shit rock land is the hottest property on the planet?

Answer: Bible Lore Value

We are building a new religion in which the Jews will be worshiped as Gods. Being an authentic Jewish person is not a criteria for being worshiped. Oh the contrary...Real Judaism is being destroyed as we speak and so is Christianity. The only criteria for being jewish in the future will be this >>>"being in the know"...and all other features will be erased. Same for Christians.

A new religion is being built right in front of your eyes. Behold its power. It is the religion of the future. Christianity has been bastardized into Israel worship. The future religion will be a whole world worshiping Israel and the chosen ones, which ironically, will have absolutely nothing at all to do with real actual Judaism at it's root form from thousands of years ago.

Sit back, relax, and watch it form on the wall all like a spider web because this is the plan.

from this thread:

viewtopic.php?f=8&t=34598&start=15

I just happen to think those doing the sussing were wrong about him and I stated why in my post.

Maybe, but that's not what got him banned.

Fair enough and you needn't respond if you don't feel like it. But, psssttt... he's probably not gone.

I think that's extremely nice of you to think that. I also think you are wrong. But I don't hold that against you, I think it's great that you are expressing a kind heart.

I just think eyeno know exactly what he was doing when he would post these provocative things, then when confronted he would always ALWAYS back down. He was a wuss, and I told him so. I found him to be slimy and of low intelligence. But maybe that's just me.

But again, and I'm quite serious, I have the utmost respect for your niceness. I find it interesting because I usually am the one who is too nice (believe it or not), at least in my real life, and I give people the benefit of the doubt for far too long. I'm an introvert, but not the "J" of the Judgemental strain, but the "P" instead. Eyeno brought out the "J" in me. Pretty quickly, I might add. In large part because he seemed several quantum levels lower than the average intelligence level at this board. Unless he was faking that.

Eyeno pushed my buttons a bit and while at times I agreed with Saurian Tail about him, other times I felt the opposite. Eventually that second thing outweighed the first.

I gotta say tho ST you did a great job sticking up for him.

Cheers.
