Both his words and manner of speech seemed at first totally unfamiliar to me, and yet somehow they stirred memories - as an actor might be stirred by the forgotten lines of some role he had played far away and long ago.

When all you've got is a hammer, everything looks likes nails.
If you bow to the hand that damns you, everything fails.
The things you do, do you. The plans you hatch, hatch monsters.
Unless you watch your moves, your own fists will knock you unconscious.

"What are you listening to right now?" Does it count if I'm listening back to stuff I recorded last night? I hope so, otherwise I broke the rules last week. And I'm doing it again right now. There I go again. Always starting trouble.

These are one take, basement tapes style, same as last week. Just in a "one take, basement tapes style" mood recently. For... I don't know, anyone. For Kate Tempest.

Hey transcendent start-selector so perfect and virtualized
a holy host of cheery ghosty plastic cut-out voyeur spies
machinimated steely daisy twenty-five or sixty-nine
I'll spin ya sign a rose a line a social climb yeah lookin' so fine

In other words so out of phase I know it doesn't matter what I say
Baby you and me let's run away to a makaimura summer day

I'll spin ya sign a rose a line a crazy climber feelin' so fine
got auto-manacles to bind your curves all down in ways divine
in never ending robot heaven hemmed in shoji screens so neat
a metastatic fancy fiction attic don't it sound so sweet

Speedrunner I seen ya cruising dat stream
super star blazing over horizon uh yesterday
bs sensors have detected a state of artificial grace
n' your out of credits counting down to game over
another deja vu cliche just another deja vu cliche
and you're counting it down to game over game over

Itchy trigger-finger got nowhere to hide
in taser-shock a revelation of fair weathers ain't on your side
frenzied fiends are closing in for the feast of smiles n' lies
we'll tear it up all raizing dare to burst out other skies

My kitty slipping phantom in a ivy straw
going for depression angel highest score
hashi golden luster on the back of a paw
little silver crescent on her head for sure

lalala something here so anodyne
yeah your honey poisons suit me very fine
pk everything I gotta swing your vine
won't you be mine, I want you be mine

Hey kitty strumming on the baliset
singing 'et in arcadia ego, my pet'
I feel the caladanian layout is ideal
for giving up mercurial appeal

My friends in Winters say forget it all
a backwards full stop watching springs
right you are my huntress of a thousand worlds
you are the sweetest thing, yeah, you are

my kitty hit the divinators in reverse
said if I want it I could break you like a curse
baby open up your voodoo-shop and heart erase
make out a holo-lover vision that you can't replace

Which tones do you prefer. It's tough to decide, both chips have their strong points. I'm leaning towards the second one right now. You don't have to decide, of course. It's just music. A listening exercise.

This is something

Searching for a melody I had stuck in my head, found this nice thing by accident:

but then I found what I was looking for.

"The shadow falling on the ground drills into the earth, and even the meaning on the signposts is lost..."

fun tunes, sweet tones in this one. play ball.

Now back to Captain Tsubasa. Cute uptempo doo-wop progression.
