I consciously tried to listen to more relaxed music last year, since my music tastes ran to goth/industrial/metal during the "occult paedophile ring stalking my best friend" years of 2004 - 2005.

Best albums definitely Destroyer's Rubies (by Destroyer, slightly harsh name for a very laidback band) and the Band of Horses album. Another awesome indie album is the latest from Hidden Cameras. And Cat Power's "The Greatest".

The Knife's last album was excellent but sounded haunted, lots of stuff about childhood and isolation. Reminds me of the German RA survivor that won refugee status here in Australia in 98 - she came from a rural German village that made Rosemary's Baby look like preschool. (That anecdote probably isn't a great endorsement of the album, but trust me, it's good. Just spooky.)

Lily Allen is a hell of a lot of fun, and the album still stands up after six months of listening to it. Oh, and Amy Winehouse and Nellie McKay as well.

I should get the new Sarah Blasko album - the first one was incredible.

30? God thats a lot meaning I can't pare it down to my few favorites but not enough to get everything in. Hmmmm

not in order

1. Not A Day Goes By - Shook Ones (cover)
2. The Drop - Shook Ones
3. Like White Noise - Love Me Destroyer (cover)
4. Jacob's Ladder - Fucked Up
5. Triumph of Life - Fucked Up (really, all the songs on Hidden World but I'll just stop at two of the more memorable)
6. Blackout - The Falcon
7. The Routes We Wander (forget the second title) - The Falcon
8. Building The Even More Perfect Asshole Parade (Scratching Off The Fleas) - The Falcon
9. The Rabbit and the Rooster - The Lawrence Arms
10. Special Professional - Dead to Me

11. Suture Self - The Loved Ones
12. They Like Their Turtlenecks Ribbed - A Wilhelm Scream
13. Diver - A Wilhelm Scream
14. She Doesn't Like Me Anymore - The Leftovers
15. Life And Death of the Party - The Leftovers
16. Sunbelt Scars - Banner Pilot
17. Portland Lights - Banner Pilot
18. Ummm, I don't know the names of alot of these songs actually. I will have to go look em up I guess. Definitely something from Bomb The Music Industry! though. I think its Even Winning Feels Bad but I'm not sure
19. 100 K - Loved Ones
20. Old and Unprofessional - Bomb The Music Industry!

21. One Song - Lifetime
22. Don't Lie - Dead To Me
23. Melatonin - Smoke or Fire
24. Minus - Bad Astronaut
25.

some of those are songs from previous EPs that got put re-recorded and put onto LPs in 06 (inlcuding the Loved Ones and Falcon songs)

huh, I dunno really, I do kinda tend to listen to one particular genre of music lol

Song of my favorite albums are going to go unmentioned since there isn't one particular standout track on them..

Crap, too many other irons in the fire right now to keep looking up song names. I'll come back and edit them in later if anybody cares (not)
How dare you question my ulterior motives
