The date comes second: 11/22/63. (And you know what happened on that date.)

I doubt many young people would be familiar with that date. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think so.

The decimal point is a dot. Certainly not a comma.

YES! I hate the comma-used-as-decimal European style.
