The Official Give Some Love to the Mods Thread

Seriously. No snarking permitted.

It's thankless, unpaid, and they get accused of the craziest shit. (Like, that somebody's paying them.)

I wouldn't be able to keep this board up, such as I do, without sunny, chiggerbit, pan and et. (Though et's moderating only one forum now, his importance to the health of the board has been incalculable.)

Each brings their own voice and talent, and all intend the best for this little community. And it's a better place for their moderating it. And I'm lucky and blessed that they are.

This group of people has to be one of the coolest groups of people on the net. I seriously look at it as a real community and whaddayaknow real life-interaction takes place here. Call me crazy, but this type of authenticity is better for mental and social health than the whole-hog anonymity of something like a chan-type image board, although there is something to be said about that, too.

Other forums can become cult-like (or "exclusive club like") but not this one. I believe this is due to the mature, well-rounded and well-grounded nature of the mods; not to mention Sir Jeff, who sets the tone for the entire discussion and obviously sets a damn good one.

Chiggy, your crickets clip is amusing but if you read between some of the lines and look at some of the odd posts, you'll see heaps of praise for this board and the mods already there.

Good job, good board, good people.

Thank you all.

Thank you Mods! (Even to Pan with whom I often disagree.)
Sunny and Chig, smilies on you.

A entire site could be dedicated to people who work for free on the good 'ole web, ... open source coders, volunteer geeks who invent tools and share them freely. I owe my very living, and also my net leisure time to all.

Many, many thanks.

Yes, thank you, Mod Squad... Hard to live up to that name, if not the mental image

but you do it with a fair-minded but not-too-intrusive set of rules that - for the good of the group as a whole - make this place a very unique type of parliament of interesting and well-informed people. Best of all, I learn and gain more insight into myself and other people from other countries and backgrounds.

I hereby give my special shot out to Pan - this board would be nearly intolerable without him.
