I'm not sure why the poll seems to be closed, maybe because I posted this before the board upgraded, or maybe there is a time limit on polls?
I've just come to the conclusion that I'm Free Running/Non-24. At first I was a bit doubtful of this self-diagnosis, seeing as it seems rare for sighted people. But observing my sleep wake cycles leads me to believe that there is not much of a cycle, or that it constantly moves forward, until I synch up with a 'normal' schedule for a little while, then keep moving later and later until it starts over again, maybe after a month or two.
Oftentimes, it is work that will push me to stay up through a new day when I've been up for a while. If I get into a good working groove I'm loathe to stop, knowing it might be some time before I can get back to it with the same level of focus. Plus, it is sometimes only possible to do something during the day - when I need to communicate with someone, for example.
The only way to really know if I am Free Running would be to have a month off, free of responsibilities, to just live and record my tiredness at different hours. Like that is going to happen! Ha.
I'm a little worried what the long term effects of my sleep schedule will be. I intend to keep better records and make some effort to correct it.
