What I did this summer

as depicted by the appropriated memories of strangers.

Rode the Coney Island Wonder Wheel, the Ontario Place log ride and the Centreville mini-train.

Bought nostalgic wads of Adam's Sour Cherry gum at the Economy Candy Store.

Caught surprisingly pricey rainbow trout in the over-stocked pond at Burd's Fishing.

Was taken aback by the size of The Persistence of Memory.

Became increasingly fond of right-angled walls and Turkey in the Straw.

Cool, huh? Dali was spanish-trained as a miniaturist, and most of his early, famous surrealist works are quite small. His book on technique is really a brilliant recipe for madness.

I went to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk for some deep fried Twinkies, and a ride on the Giant Dipper which is the oldest wooden rollercoaster in California, and feels like it.

Spent a few lovely days on the beach in Davenport, too.

Then a nice trip to see Uncle Wiggly at Children's Fairyland.

Made it down to the Tech Museum in San Jo.

I also flew into O'Hare and managed to spend some time with the polar bears.
