First a dolphin.
Now an elephant.

Unfortunately they say pink elephants don't survive long under the sun in Africa.

The elephant doesn't look so pink next to that dolphin. By the way, somebody already made a "Barbie Dolphin" joke.

Just kidding with that pink piggy pic. But seriously, y'all familiar with the eschatological significance of the appearance of the Red Heifer?

Ashes of the Red Heifer

Well, off the top of my head, here's what I know:

Christian and Jewish eschatology is waiting for the rebuilding of the Temple on top of Mount Moriah in Jerusalem. This building of the Temple is connected to the appearance of the Messiah. For Christians who know their Scriptures (and who aren't taken in by the false pretrib rapture doctrine) the rebuilding of the Temple presages the imminent return of Jesus. The Temple tools for sacrifice, according to Mosaic law, need to be cleansed with the ashes of a Red Heifer. Up until recently there were no Red Heifers.

Within the last ten years or so, I remember hearing of a Red Heifer being born to a Texan Christian rancher. And I believe one was born a few years ago in Israel too. This was big news in both the Christian and Jewish religious communities.

If you googled "Red Heifer" I'm sure you'd get a good idea of its significance.

Pink grasshopper found in marshes.

"It is caused by a genetic mutation in its reproductive cycle.

"It's almost a full adult, so if it has survived this long being bright pink there is a chance it will live to reproduce and pass on its pink gene."

Pink Grasshopper recipe:
3/4 oz green creme de menthe
3/4 oz white creme de cacao
3/4 oz pepto-bismol

Shake all ingredients with ice, strain into a cocktail glass, and serve.
