Nice to see you, too. It is my firm belief that any drink tastes better from the hand of a lady.

Fernet-Branca, huh? The manual says it's good for menstrual discomfort and baby colic. Just what I need, thanks.

Sure.

Now after you vent a bit, Dave's gonna give you a primer on not getting your hackles up over other people's troubles. He's real good at that.

Then he'll probably give me a talk too.

That sounds great! I think I'll try one of those later near cocktail hour. Keep cool and G'day Joe.

this bar

So, does this bar do receptions?

I'm thinking of serving queso and chips. Dr. Pepper and water for the non drinkers of DP.

PS - the music from "what are you listening to" is too loud. Please have them turn it down.

That's a powerful thirst you've got going there, Joe.Image

And PW, taking on a Darwin stubby is a sure-fire way to impress a bloke 'round these parts!

Funny you should mention it Perigrine. I've been literally running the local bottle shops out of their last stocks of my favourite cab/sav 3 litre cask (when it comes to wine, I'll only drink the best cask wine money can buy - I'm a bit of a snob like that), and have had to resort to alternatives, one of which I sampled just last night - an Australian white shiraz (Banrock Station 2 litre). On ice, as I had forgotten to put it in the fridge. Very nice in the warmer weather we're having here. I'll shout you one.

I've never had a white shiraz, I'm quite curious to try that. I shall keep my eyes peeled next time when at the liquor store.

It was pretty hot yesterday erosoplier.

I figure 4 litres of beer was just about enough liquid to rehydrate me last night.

(And I know beer is only a temporary rehydration, and a net loss of water, but the bonus is you get to drink more beer.)

I am officially obsessed with this drink. The description of its initial noxious-ness is far overstated in the article. I liked it off the bat. A poor man's chartreuse. (and a rich man's listerine?)
