I'm wearing pale green silk pjs with pink silk covered buttons and a kimono with an embroidered pattern in mainly apricot and green and green slipper socks, gucci envy body lotion as hand cream (couldn't find the hand cream after washing out the cat's bowl) and not to be outdone on the posh pong front, a squirt of pure poison from dior. A huge cheap timex watch on my left wrist, some cerise and black plastic framed specs from spec savers on my face and a large red mug of coffee with a cartoon style cat on it in my right hand complete the ensemble. and its hard to get upper case typing with one hand.

most expensive garment is either aforementioned second hand kimono or black leather boots ( not included in this fashion shoot).

If any ladies here have not checked out Etsy, you really should. Art, jewelry, and even fashion made by some really creative people. Hours of browsing fun.

I am contemplating starting an Etsy store..I have a backlog of crocheted cloche hats made in a fit of creation a while back, and am always working on more items involving crochet, embroidery, and collage, using upcycled materials as often as I can. Anyone here have an Etsy store? My friend and I are putting our crafty heads together and have some great ideas for some accessory lines. She has been selling vintage clothing on Etsy for years, and is pretty savvy in that respect, but I am curious to know if anyone here has any tips or suggestions for starting a handmade store. I would also be interested in knowing what the fashionistas/os around here are buying from the handmade realm. I have purchased items from Etsy sellers, and have read through all of the FAQ's and stuff, but I always like an RI opinion!

We bought a beautiful bracelet for my stepdaughter that was made from an old silver spoon from an Etsy store. Bent and twisted around into a bracelet. Somehow they got rid of the business end of the spoon. Anyway, the thing was gorgeous and the people who sold it were super nice. I hope they make a living doing that stuff.

I hope they do too...I purchased a really neat compact mirror from an Etsy store called Buttonlandia. The seller was super nice, including a hand-written note of thanks, and a free refrigerator magnet with my order. I loved the personal touch, and intend to utilize that when I get my store up and running (if I sell anything, that is!).
