I barely touched the guy!

Just a tap!

I promise!

Did he get the punchline?

One-inch punch?

This has topical relevance (well, I hope not actually) to the North Wales care home scandal - both then and now:

Credit to Streeb (a fine fellow, I reckon) for introducing me to this film, and first posting up this scene, since removed, but now returned.

I've been an Elfquest fan for upwards of thirty years now! I just heard about this, sorry if it has been posted before!

It's not a film clip this one, as such, it's a documentary trailer - but very effective, I reckon. I would see it in a cinema if I could, strange as that may seem.

Maybe 'cos it's an industry I have a vague and passing knowledge of, but more because, as one critic said: "it is normal, a day's work, but it might as well have been filmed on another planet."

Indeed.

LEVIATHAN :

By heaven, man, we are turned round and round in this world, like yonder windlass, and Fate is the handspike. And all the time, lo! That smiling sky, and this unsounded sea! Look! See yon Albicore! Who put it into him to chase and fang that flying-fish? Where do murderers go, man! Who’s to doom, when the judge himself is dragged to the bar?

But it is a mild, mild wind, and a mild looking sky; and the airs smells now, as if it blew from a far-away meadow; they have been making hay somewhere under the slopes of the Andes, Starbuck, and the mowers are sleeping among the new-mown hay.

Are they fuck. But one can dream.

A thousand years is but an instant.
There's nothing new, nothing different. The same pattern over and over.
The same clouds, the same music,
the same insight felt an hour or an eternity ago.
There's nothing here for me now, nothing at all.
Now I remember. This happened to me before. This is why I left.
You have begun to find your answers.
Although it will seem difficult, the rewards will be great.
Exercise your human mind as thoroughly as possible,
knowing it is only an exercise.
Build beautiful artifacts, solve problems,
explore the secrets of the physical universe.
Savor the input from all the senses.
Feel the joy and sorrow, the laughter, the empathy, compassion...
and tote the emotional memory in your travel bag.
I remember where I came from and how I became a human.
Why I hung around. And now my final departure is scheduled.
This way out. Escaping velocity.
Not just eternity, but infinity.
