Love turtles and frogs. When we moved to Alabama, there were toads everywhere! We'd have to watch where we stepped so we didn't squish any, and of course wash our hands after we'd pick them up. The little toad babies were adorable. In the summer evenings we'd site on the deck and watch fireflies dart between tree trunks and toads hop all over the pine needle carpet. Magical.
I used to draw frogs dressed in Hawaiian shirts, holding beer cans, with cigarettes hanging out of their mouths. I think I was trying to make fun of my grandfather.
