The 19th C. side of this really tells history. Love peaks with the early Romantics, freedom with the revolutionaries, and law/right always stays dominant in the mindset. The second peak of "freedom" occurs with World War II; there is a drop and then a rise again in the postwar period. We can always hope the meaning of it in the earlier period is different from that in the later.

May reflect record sales, except for classical, which reflects the relative academic interest. And yes, there was a disco explosion! I don't know how to measure punk, since punk is a generic word and the genre is rarely called "punk music."

Add polka:

'Vulcan' and 'Borg' have too many results. They need to add a context feature.

If you ignore the realities of usage according to which Manhattan is commonly denoted by the phrase "New York," sure. Otherwise not so quantitative, I don't think.

Which is a shame, because it actually is for tools nowadays. But, you know. You can't just go around lending credence to whatever pleases you, while rejecting everything that doesn't as false on an a priori basis.

I mean, that shit's only fun until you've been robbed of every principle you ostensibly stand for while exponentially greater numbers of people all around you (as well as all over the world) are predictably slaughtered by the same powers that -- and you might want to be sitting down for this part -- are deflecting attention from themselves by covertly encouraging you to demonize a convenient and popular scapegoat at one and the same time as they overtly discourage it. All of which they're doing with that very same scapegoat's full knowledge and collusion, since the elites in both parties profit from that set-up.

So, you know. Everyone's a winner. With the exception of everyone. Go team.

Well, as the one who put that up: Yes of course. Or else Manhattan is called "the City," as in "I'm going into the City later," when you're already in Flushing or Park Slope. I hope no one's thinking that this thread is anything other than a place to play with a new search tool that has obvious limitations and is very easy to game into bogus results, and use it for jokes. Also, see what you might get out of it that approaches any standard of accuracy and salience of variables and hypothesis. I doubt Nathan28 was just " lending credence to whatever pleases you, while rejecting everything that doesn't as false on an a priori basis." (Ooops, soon as I cut and paste that, I realized you may be employing triple-edged irony prompted by recent board arguments, you fox, you.) Also team vs. team expression can range from harmless teasing (or even subversion of paradigm defining the teams) to blind-hateful murder.

So the next part is true in itself (does it have an immediate concrete referent or prompt?) but puzzling to me in reaction to anything going on here.
