Lupercalia came early! Thank you for shedding your antlers in the backyard, young buck... low-fat bones and marrow, and nobody got killed.

Here's what Los Angeles looks like, almost everywhere:

Image

These ugly-ass mini-malls. Ubiquitous. All of Los Angeles sorta looks the same, mainly due to this kind of crap.

I can't comment on every image in this favorite thread, but I'm smiling and nodding whenever you folks post in it, for real.

Springtime in the PNW is amazing. The nabe is covered in flowers and the yard humming with bees. Here's a few from camping and gardens.

This is my favorite time of year. The snow-melt is going full tilt, so you get lots of huge waterfalls, like the one in the background (The Rjoande waterfall).

I have been on a bit of a holiday, and went cycling along the smaller roads nearby. These pics are all from within 200 km of where I live. Farmland around the westernmost parts of the country.

Its been really hot, close to 30 C daytime with occasional thunderstorms, and over 20 at night. Boy did I sweat a little while riding... Luckily lakes are plentiful and swimming an every mans right, just like cycling and hiking is allowed everywhere except in someones front yard or cultivated farmland. Right to peruse the land also includes picking berries and shrooms, and with some restrictions, camping, fishing and boating. Its a nordic thing, I think Sweden and Norway have similar laws.

I'm in Denver right now and I snapped this bit of beauty.

EDIT: Nordic, I know you have some Denver history and if you ever came back you will be astonished at the utter sprawl. Living in Seattle and coming to Denver I am totally amazed also to how fast people drive. My dad moved to Seattle last year and when he drives I always tell him "OK, you're driving Denver style right now." But the sprawl is insane in just the last 15 since I moved. And totally unwalkable.

There's something really evil-looking about that building. ^^^^
