Harvey and chump, thanks. I spent a few hours just looking at your pictures, pages and pages of your pictures :)

Also the story about the wasps flying through your home I really liked.

I should share a story of beings meeting at the borders of our dreams as well..

This happened some years ago, during the most interesting and most demanding trip I have had so far. I had extended great energies to span the globe with my mind, and at that point I realized I may have gone too far, and overreached my capacity. I felt I was being ripped apart at my solar plexus, with a malicious entity trying to enter my being there. I lay on a bed, my heart racing as fast as it could go, close to 200 bpm, I was unable to control my heart rate even through controlled breathing and pushing down hard at the bottom of my belly with both my hands.

Two rescue rabbits lived with me at the time, and in my mind, I cried out to them to come to my aid for I was in mortal danger. As soon as I let out the call in my mind, I hear both of them run from the other room to me, they jump on the bed, male one goes straight to my solar plexus and settles down there, right where the demon is trying to rip me, and the female jumps on top of my chest, pushes her nose on my nose and breathes right in my nostrils, I sense the urgency of both of them, to help me, to support me.

Eventually, over maybe 10 minutes, with the help of the rabbits, I manage to rein in my heart, but still am in dire condition. I manage to go outside, naked, and sit down on my legs in snow (it is -20 c outside). pushing on my plexus with both hands hard, force my breathing, until finally I am able to bring my being back under my control.

To this day I am certain I may have died without the help of my familiars. They have both long passed, and I buried them with appropriate ceremonies in a local nature preserve area. When they came to me, I made a deal with both of them - you look after me when I sleep and trip, and I take care of you as long as you live. They did hold up their end of the deal. Always slept (with at least one rabbit eye open ;) ) either at the end of the bed, or under it, keeping watch.

Rescue rabbits! Wonderful story, Gnomad, frightening as it must have been to experience. Rabbits are wonderful creatures. I had a mini rex share his time with me and my cat back in the '90s. Monte and Smoky.

Yeah, rabbits are the best :)
The one now living here is a mini rex as well. Really active and playful. Just flopped on her back next to my chair as Im writing this. She also wakes us up every morning, usually way too early or as the sun rises and in the winter time about 5 minutes before the alarm clock at the latest, and every night she jumps on the bed and runs over us a few times to tell us good night.

I needed a good story, thanks very much Gnomad.

A gull has been hanging around the herons all the last week, you can see her in the picture. She sits on the edge of the weir watching them for up to an hour or so, flies off to look for food with the other gulls then comes back and settles down to watch. Same gull every day, with unusually dark wings and a deep orange splash at the tip of her beak. Perhaps she once grabbed up a fish dropped by a heron and lives in anticipation. Perhaps she studies the art of fishing. Occasionally a heron will fly at her bellowing rage to see her off. A moment later she comes right back.

The crows (and some rooks and possibly one raven) are nesting just down river, they too appear curious.
